According to an advantageous example, the device includes a container for storing the product, a product applicator including a rotating component capable of being inserted into the container in order to be loaded with product and capable of applying the product removed onto an application surface. The device further includes a member for capping the container that bears the applicator and an applicator wiping member. The wiping member can include, for example, a flat surface against which the rotating component rolls along. The invention can be particularly advantageous, for example, in packaging and applying a cosmetic or care product.
