    Abstract: Methods are disclosed for correcting an assay measurement for determining a concentration of an analyte in a sample suspected of containing the analyte. An assay signal is measured at a first wavelength corresponding to the analyte in the sample and an assay signal is measured at a second wavelength corresponding to background that is multiplied by a correction factor. An assay signal value is determined by subtracting assay signal at the second wavelength times the correction factor from assay signal at the first wavelength. The assay signal value is related to the amount of the analyte in the sample.
