Publication number: 20230237999Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices of a voice-directed inspection system that supports multiple inspectors in the inspection of business assets are described. Inspection plans for large and complex business assets can involve several steps. It is advantageous to split large inspection plans into non-overlapping sections to allow multiple inspectors to perform concurrent inspections. Such sectionalizing is also useful in training new inspectors.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2023Publication date: July 27, 2023Inventors: Matthew NICHOLS, Alexander Nikolaus MRACNA, Kurt Charles MILLER, Russell EVANS, Mark KOENIG, Navaneetha MYAKA, Bernard KRILEY, Luke SADECKY, Brian L. MANUEL, Lauren MEYER

Patent number: 9332372Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program product relating to spatialized audio. There is a set of headphones having an accelerometer and a tilt sensor for tracking the location and orientation of the set of headphones and a computer apparatus which includes a headphone position processor to receive headphone location and orientation information from the set of headphones, virtual speaker location processors (VSLPs) which receive a digital signal containing audio information from a digital audio stream and a digital signal containing headphone location and orientation information from the headphone position processor and output a digital signal containing audio information, a summing processor to receive the digital output signals from the VSLPs, sum them and output them to a digital to analog (D/A) converter. The D/A converter converts the summed digital output signals received from the VSLPs to an analog signal and outputs the analog signal to the set of headphones.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2010Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Laurens Meyer

Patent number: 7791487Abstract: Estimating a location of a RFID tag in time and space using incomplete data. A signal is received from an RFID tag at a plurality of receivers over a time range. At any particular time within the time range the signal is received at less than three receivers. The signal is generated at specific times within the time range. Receipt of the signal at a given receiver at a given time within the time range comprises an event. In this manner, a plurality of events arises during the time range. Additionally, corresponding locations of the plurality of receivers are known. The plurality of events is received at a data processing system. An algorithm is executed on the data processing system to process the plurality of events. An estimated location in time and space of the RFID tag is then generated with the algorithm and based on the plurality of events.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 2007Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventor: Laurens Meyer
