Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods to navigate through a set of z-stacked images are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a position tracker to track movement of a pointing device with respect to a set of z-stacked images, a momentum detector to identify momentum applied to the pointing device in a first interaction based on a speed of navigation through the set of z-stacked images and configure navigation through the set of z-stacked images in a momentum-based mode based on the speed of navigation through the set of z-stacked images, and a navigation mode detector to detect a second interaction with the pointing device and exit a navigation mode and enter a normal mode positioned at a slice in the set of z-stacked images based on the second interaction.
