  • Patent number: 11783341
Abstract: An identity theft mitigation system. The system comprises a mobile communication device transfer data store, a non-transitory memory, a processor, and an application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor the application monitors transfers of mobile communication device credentials between different mobile communication devices and stores records of the transfers of mobile communication device credentials in the mobile communication device transfer data store. The application further identifies when a mobile communication device is involved in a number of credential transfers that is above a predefined threshold during a period of time based on searching the mobile communication device transfer data store for records of transfers the mobile communication device was involved in, and takes action based on the number of credential transfers in which the mobile communication device is involved exceeding the predefined threshold.

  • Patent number: 10733685
Abstract: In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The UE comprises a cellular radio transceiver, a non-transitory memory, a processor, a third party application stored in the non-transitory memory, and an application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor, the third party application causes the processor to attempt to access confidential information of the UE. When executed by the processor, the application causes the processor to determine a status of consent to release confidential information to the third party application and to take action in response to a determination that the status of consent is consent is not granted to release confidential information to the third party application.

  • Patent number: 9781255
Abstract: A method of authenticating a call origination directed to an enterprise call center. The method comprises receiving a first call origination message from a communication network by a computer system, wherein the first call origination message comprises an automatic number identification (ANI) storing a first phone number, determining by the computer system that the first phone number is not associated with an originator of the first call origination message, and responsive to determining that the first phone number is not associated with the originator of the first call origination message, dropping the first call origination message by the computer system and not answering the associated call, whereby the enterprise call center reduces its vulnerability to call origination spoofing.

  • Patent number: 9338658
Abstract: An evaluation server is disclosed. The server comprises a processor, a memory, and an application stored in the memory. The application receives a request from an enterprise new accounts sever to predict the trustworthiness of an account applicant. The application then accesses a plurality of mobile communication service provider data stores that comprise information on mobile communication service provisioning events, wherein these events comprise at least one of voice mail redirect events of the mobile communication device, changing out of the mobile communication device for other mobile communication devices events, payment history, and adding international calling service events. The application then generates a confidence report about the trustworthiness of the account applicant based on the information found in the plurality of data stores. The application then transmits the confidence report to the enterprise server.

  • Patent number: 8639291
Abstract: A mobile phone configured to complete payment transactions while the mobile phone is in a low battery shut-off state. The mobile phone comprises a secure element configured to store payment cards, a near field communication transceiver, wherein the near field communication transceiver is configured to complete a payment transaction based on a payment card stored in the secure element, a memory, a processor and an application stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the application detects whether a power reserve is below a predefined threshold. When the power reserve is detected below the predefined threshold, the application prompts selection of a payment card stored in the secure element for use in completing payment transactions while the mobile phone is in a low battery shut-off state and configures one of the secure element or the near field communication transceiver to complete payment transactions using the selected payment card.
