Abstract: A combination filtration and anti-microbial catch basin filter disposed in a catch basin of a storm water system such that, in addition to removing particulate matter and other contaminants, the concentration of bacteria in storm water that remains resident in the sump of a catch basin after a storm event is severely reduced or eradicated. The catch basin filter comprises a filtration bag depending from the opening such that water must pass through the bag and a plurality of strips or similar members depending from the filtration bag, the length of the strips being such that they remain in contact with water resident in the bottom of the catch basin. In an alternative embodiment, the device comprises a floatation member with filtering means and anti-microbial strips depending therefrom.

Abstract: Mosquito larvae control is accomplished by providing an anti-microbial carrier member that is placed in the standing water that serves as breeding grounds, whereby the concentration of bacteria and other microbial organisms that serve as food for the larvae is severely reduced or eradicated. By eradicating the food supply, the mosquito larvae population is killed off. The anti-microbial agent is chosen and is adhered to, combined with, impregnated in, contained in the carrier member such that the anti-microbial agent does not leach, dissolve, or permeate into the water.

Abstract: A storm water drainage system anti-microbial device disposed in a sump of the storm water system such that the concentration of bacteria in storm water that remains resident in the sump after a storm event is severely reduced or eradicated. The device preferably comprises a floatation means and a plurality of strips or similar carrier members depending from the floatation means.

Abstract: A water permeable dewatering bag for removing suspended solids from water, the bag having an open end that is sealed during the filtering operation but may be opened to remove collected solids after the filtering operation for reuse of the bag. The open is temporarily sealed using a clamping assembly such that the size of the bag may be adjusted as desired.

Abstract: A shopping cart carrier attachment for carrying at least one child, the child carrier having a main body with an entrance and a support platform or seat to support the child, the main body being removably attachable to the basket of the cart and to the lower frame of the cart such that the main body extends forward from and is suspended from the front of the cart. Most preferably, the child carrier is configured as a real world object, such as a vehicle.

Abstract: A macroencapsulation container having in combination an inner container member with an inner lid member and an inner body member, and an outer container member with an outer lid member and an outer body member, the inner container member being composed of a thermoplastic polymer material that can be thermo-welded or thermo-bonded to itself by melting. The outer container is composed of a metal. At least one electric resistance wire is embedded in or mounted onto the inner lid member along the area of contact with the inner body member, such that the inner lid member may be thermo-bonded to the inner body member to create an integral, one-piece inner container member encapsulating any material or containers disposed within.

Abstract: An improved cigarette butt receptacle device for receiving cigarette butts, the device having a base retaining a container member, a receiving tube member with a chute segment directing the butts into the receptacle member and a secondary housing member that encloses the chute segment to alter the external visual appearance. In an alternate embodiment, the device has a cap member that joins to the chute segment. In an alternate embodiment the device has a non-linear chute member.
