  • Patent number: 5545844
Abstract: An electrical shielding chamber has six electrically conductive rigid walls in electrical contact with each other. A first wall forms a first door and a second wall forms a second door, each of which is selectively attachable to at least three other walls. The chamber is collapsible for forming a substantially flat package, and expandable for forming a substantially electrically-shielded compartment.

  • Patent number: 4791236
Abstract: An electrically conductive removable jacket is provided for wire bundles or the like. The jacket comprises a flattened knitted metal wire tube with a strip of hook and loop fastener stitched along each longitudinal edge so that a tubular jacket is formed by overlapping the edges and securing the fasteners. Plural strips of hook and loop fastener assure that the jacket can be kept electrically "closed" regardless of the size of bundle encompassed. A resilient gasket is provided along one edge of the conductive jacket for making electrical contact with the opposite edge. The conductive jacket may be secured along one edge to one edge of a flexible electrically insulating jacket having fastening means along each edge for forming a tubular insulating jacket. The insulating jacket is inside of the conductive jacket.

  • Patent number: 4758179
Abstract: Disclosed is a separable connector for ribbon cabling enclosed in a shielded jacket. A grounding shoe is insertable into the jacket end and clampable in captive contact with the shield, the jacket and the cabling by a pair of cable strain relief clamping member subassemblies, the cabling conductors being connectible to a respective contactor of a shielded multiple contactor subassembly. These two subassemblies are seatable captively in spaced apart chambers provided adjacent the opposite ends of metallic housing halves with an exposed portion of the grounding shoe in contact with at least one of the housing halves.

  • Patent number: 4749822
Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary shielded boot for assembly about a separable connector interconnecting a pair of multiple conductor shielded cables. The boot has a flexible plastic main body lined with conductive shielding and provided with a separable plastic seam lengthwise of its exterior. A shielded guard flap bridges the underside of the seam when closed and provides a highly effective externally insulated shielded enclosure for the separable cable connector. The opposite ends of the boot shield overlap a respective adjacent end of the cable shields and are electrically connective thereto.

  • Patent number: 4734542
Abstract: Disclosed is a flat tubular jacket of flexible sheet plastic having a separable interlocking seam bridging the overlapping opposite lateral edges of an elongated one piece main body for use in snugly enclosing one or more ribbon cable conductors. The interior of the main body is provided with heat-formed grooves to either side of the jacket seam and spaced apart generally by the width of the ribbon cable conductors. A shielding lining of flexible conductive material is secured to the inner side of the jacket and has overlapping edges in electrical contact.
