  • Patent number: 11360717
Abstract: Embodiments described herein modify AFP translations of non-AFP print jobs in order to ensure that exceptions in the non-AFP print jobs are handled correctly. One embodiment comprises a controller that receives a job ticket for a non-AFP print job, where the job ticket defines at least one page exception for the non-AFP print job. The controller receives an AFP translation of the non-AFP print job, where the AFP translation does not implement the at least one page exception defined in the job ticket for the non-AFP print job. The controller modifies the AFP translation to include one or more structured fields based on the at least one page exception, and provides the modified AFP translation to a print server to generate a printed output that represents the non-AFP print job as specified by the job ticket.

  • Patent number: 8023755
Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for generating subimages of an image to use to represent the image. A determination is made of a pixel location on one axis of an image comprising a plurality of pixels. The image is divided into multiple subimages at the determined pixel location on the axis. A determination is made as to whether each subimage can be cropped to remove regions of white pixels from the subimage. Each subimage is cropped to remove a region of white pixels in response to determining that the subimage can be cropped. An image file is generated defining the image including the subimages.

  • Patent number: 7541115
Abstract: Photolithographic masks and nano-imprint lithography masks with calcium fluoride substrates are disclosed. A photolithographic mask has a calcium fluoride substrate having a surface, a patterned layer disposed on the surface, and a polymer layer forming a pellicle that covers the patterned layer. A mask for nano-imprint lithography has a calcium fluoride substrate with a surface and a nano-imprint lithography pattern formed on the surface. Such masks can be used in a method for reducing the effects of hydration during lithography. In the method a layer of photoresist is formed on a substrate. A mask having a substrate made of calcium fluoride with a patterned surface is disposed proximate the layer of photoresist. The photoresist is exposed to radiation that passes through the mask. The radiation is characterized by a vacuum wavelength between about 190 nm and about 450 nm. Calcium fluoride masks can also be used to reduce the effects of hydration nano-imprint lithography.

  • Patent number: 4829033
Abstract: Barium titanate based dielectric compositions having the general formula Ba.sub.(1-x-x'-x") Pb.sub.x Ca.sub.x' Sr.sub.x" Ti .sub.(1-y-y'-y") Sn.sub.y Zr.sub.y' Hf.sub.y" O.sub.3, wherein x, x', x" and y, y', y" represent mole fractions of the divalent and tetravalent cations and x and x' have independent value greater than 0.01 and less than 0.3 and x", y, y' and y" have independent values greater than zero and less than 0.3, such that the sum (x+x'+x") is greater than 0.01 and less than 0.4 and the sum (y+y'+y") does not exceed 0.4. Regardless of the specific composition selected, the products of the invention have a mean primary particle size in the range of 0.05 to 0.4 microns with a very narrow particle size distribution. The products are dispersible so that the mean particle size determined by image anaylsis and by sedimentation are comparable.

  • Patent number: 4237949
Abstract: An attachment fastener is provided in the form of a threaded bolt having a head. Radially displaced threaded axial holes in the head are provided with set screws which, when installed, are recessed within the head and project into an adjacent support arm or to a member to which the bolt is attached. Thus, removal of the bolt requires the prior removal of at least one set screw in order for the bolt to be rotated.
