  • Patent number: 7161244
Abstract: The present invention relates to a microwave device for at least one of dissipating and attenuating power, the device comprising: an insulating substrate; at least one conductive strip of a microwave transmission line on a face of the substrate; at least one ground zone; and at least one resistive layer placed on said face of the substrate, the resistive layer having at least a first region to which the conductive strip(s) is connected and a second region connected to the ground zone, the resistive layer presenting a longitudinal axis; in which device: the resistive layer is covered at least in part by a ground plane connected to the ground zone and insulated from the resistive layer by an insulating layer; wherein said ground plane comprises a conductive material silkscreen printed on the insulating layer.

  • Patent number: 6547592
Abstract: A coaxial electrical connector element, providing a switching function, comprises a central conductor, an external conducting body forming a ground contact, a contact piece, and a conducting socket. The conducting socket can move axially about the central conductor, between a first position, in which it simultaneously bears against the central conductor and the contact piece, and a second position, in which it is spaced from the contact piece. A return member is provided for urging the conducting socket into its first position. The return member consists of an elastically deformable tubular piece (11) engaged around the central conductor (3). The tubular piece is place in the conducting body (1) so as to be held therein by a cylindrical end part (12) while still being able to deform radially owing to axial displacement of the conducting socket (7, 7′) during mating with a complementary connector element (C). The socket is designed to push the free end (14) of said tubular piece (11) axially backward.

  • Publication number: 20020160657
Abstract: The invention concerns a coaxial electrical connector operating as a switch, comprising a central conductor, an external conductor body forming earth contact, a contact part and a contact socket axially mobile about the central conductor, between a first position wherein it presses against the central conductor and the contact part, and a second position wherein it is spaced apart from the contact part, a return member being provided for urging the conductor socket into the first position. The return member consists of a elastically deformable tubular piece (11) engaged around the central conductor (3), said piece being arranged inside the conductor body (1), so as to be maintained therein by an outer cylindrical part (7), while being capable of bending elastically by radial deformation under the displaying action of the axially mobile conductor socket (7) when a matching element of the connector is coupled, said socket being designed to push back axially the free end (14) of said tubular piece (11).

  • Patent number: 6257912
Abstract: A device for connecting a coaxial cable to a printed circuit card comprises: a socket suitable for being fixed to the card; and a plug suitable for being mounted on the end of the coaxial cable and having a bearing face whereby said plug can press against the printed circuit card. The socket and the plug are organized so that the plug can be inserted into the socket and can be retained by the socket with the plug's bearing face pressed against the printed circuit card. The central contact of the plug has a rigid portion which projects from the bearing face of said plug, and the device includes resilient means urging the plug towards the printed circuit card.

  • Patent number: 5134676
Abstract: The invention relates to a connector for fiber optics, having two ferrules mounted on the end of each of the fibers to be connected, each having a bore into which the fiber optic can be inserted loosely and fixed in place such that its end coincides with the end of the ferrule, and a female reconstitution coupling having a longitudinal bore to support and align the two ferrules face to face, and longitudinal pressure means to thrust each of the ferrules toward the other, characterized by the fact that it includes a separator (11) of resilient plastic material having a refractive index equal to or close to that of the core of the fibers (8) to be connected, the said separator having, prior to its installation, a thickness at least equal to the gap (e) between the ends of the confronting fibers once the connection is made, the said separator (1) being made integral with a sleeve (12) adapted to be positioned and held inside of the female reconstitution coupling.
