  • Publication number: 20180201940
Abstract: The invention relates to a therapeutic vaccine useful against tumors exhibiting as signature the Large T antigen (LT) of the Merkel Cell PolyomaVirus (MCPyV). Additionally, the therapeutic vaccine may be also useful for preventing tumors in healthy individuals infected with MCPyV. The therapeutic vaccine involves a type-3 secretion system (T3SS) bacterial vector able to deliver a polypeptide comprising LT epitopes to antigen presenting cells (APCs), such as a truncated form of LT. The invention also relates to a fusion protein comprising a truncated form of LT.

  • Patent number: 8047526
Abstract: A mail justifier system including at least one bucket for holding a flat article and a plurality of ramps configured to contact the flat article through an opening defined on the bucket to raise the flat article to a desired level. A plurality of parallel rollers is configured to enter into the opening and contact the flat article. The parallel rollers rotate causing the flat article to move within the bucket from a first position to a second position.

  • Publication number: 20090242464
Abstract: A mail sorter including a conveying surface and a main paddle movably disposed on a slide member for supporting a first end of a main stack of mail pieces while traversing along the conveying surface to apply a first stacking pressure to the mail pieces. An auxiliary paddle is also disposed on the slide member for segregating an auxiliary stack of mail pieces from the main stack of mail pieces. The auxiliary paddle is moveable between a first position where the auxiliary paddle is free of contact with any of the mail pieces and a second position where the auxiliary paddle supports the auxiliary stack of mail pieces against the main paddle to apply a second stacking pressure to the auxiliary stack of mail pieces, the second stacking pressure being less than the first stacking pressure.

  • Patent number: 6729617
Abstract: A device for conveying flat objects in series and edge-on, in which the flat objects (12) are moved in a conveying direction (D), while at the same time being separated each from the next by a spacing which is normally constant, has a synchronization system (2) capable of compensating for any variations in spacing between two consecutive objects. The system includes two parallel rows (3, 4) of driven wheels (3A-4C) made of elastically deformable elastomer and between which each object is gripped and moved in the conveying direction. Each wheel has a rotation spindle (6), the position of which is fixed, and the wheels are rotated by a motorization system which is controlled to accelerate and/or retard the movement of each object between the two rows of wheels on the basis of a detection whether the front edge of the object has been early or late in passing a determined position upstream of the two rows of wheels compared with a time reference indicating the spacing between objects.

  • Patent number: 6719126
Abstract: The transfer device for a linear conveyor comprises a fixed framework (5) placed on one side of the linear conveyor (2) and means for moving objects towards the framework in a transfer direction that is different from the conveying direction of said conveyor. These means comprise an object transporter structure (6) mounted in said framework (5) to move in a substantially vertical direction in order to occupy a transfer position in which the transporter structure is disposed above the linear conveyor (2) or a retracted position in which the transporter structure is disposed below the linear conveyor (2). The transporter structure (6) extends across the linear conveyor (2) and extends in the transfer direction on one side of the conveyor. The transfer device can be used in a postal sorting machine for handling mail bins.
