Patent number: 9787097Abstract: An electric power supply network includes at least one connection point with an upstream electrical network delivering useful power to at least one input of a first electric power supply network of an electrically powered transport system, such as trolley buses, trams, metro, train, or other transport, the first electrical network presenting peak power fluctuations as a function of variable energy needs depending on traffic associated with the transport system. The first electrical network includes at least one power output capable of distributing energy, in particular recovered from the transport system and from the upstream electrical network, to at least a second electrical network, enabling energy to be supplied to electrical consumption points. At least one supervision unit monitors distribution of energy from the power output whenever at least the peak power required by the first transport system is below the useful power available upstream.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2013Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignee: SIEMENS S.A.SInventors: Eric Chattot, Laurent Cloutot, Valérie Cornetet, Nicolas Urien

Patent number: 9212998Abstract: In a method for the spectral analysis of a metal coating layer deposited on the surface of a steel strip, the strip is moved along an arc of the outer surface of a rotating roller with a cylindrical wall guiding the strip by contact. An ablation laser beam is guided into an internal cavity of the cylindrical wall to be placed in optical incidence under a normal axis on the outer surface of the roller on a targeted contact point of the strip and the roller. The beam passes through the wall via a wall opening, which is transparent to the beam. A plasma spectral emission distribution from the laser ablation to the contact point is collected by optical feedback in the direction of the normal axis on the outer surface of the roller and through the opening in order to be guided towards a spectral measurement unit. The normal axis on the outer surface for the optical incidence and feedback is placed in synchronous rotation with the roller.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2009Date of Patent: December 15, 2015Assignee: Primetals Technologies SAS FranceInventors: Jean Perret, Marc Michaut, Laurent Cloutot

Patent number: 8464654Abstract: An installation for the hardened galvanization of a continuously-moving rolled steel strip, includes a coating tank receiving a liquid metal mixture containing, for example, zinc and aluminum to be deposited on the strip which is immersed in the mixture. The liquid mixture is permanently circulated between the coating tank and a preparation device, in which the temperature of the liquid mixture is deliberately lowered in order to reduce an iron solubility threshold and is sufficiently high for initiating fusion of at least one ingot containing a zinc-aluminum Zn—Al alloy in a so-called fusion zone of the preparation device, in an amount necessary to compensate for the liquid mixture used for deposition on the strip. The installation includes a loop for circulating the liquid mixture that is thermally optimized.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2008Date of Patent: June 18, 2013Assignee: Siemens VAI Metals Technologies SASInventors: Stephane Barjon, Laurent Cloutot, Arnaud D'Halluin, Benjamin Grenier

Patent number: 8239703Abstract: A method controls time based signals that are outputted from at least two processes of unit. A first signal is converted into a first signal value and indicates over a first time range of a first process with a first defined start time and a defined end time, in which present time is signalized by a spatially extensible and uniformly highlighted portion of the first time range defined between the first start time and the present time. A second signal is converted into a second signal value and indicates over a second time range of a second process with a second defined start time and free of an end time, in which the present time is signalized by a spatially extensible portion of the second time range onto which a variably highlighted and superposed section is overlaid, the section being defined between the second start time and the present time.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2009Date of Patent: August 7, 2012Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Giorgio Corsini, Laurent Cloutot

Publication number: 20080188772Abstract: A device for spatially localizing a movable part of a body, wherein movement of the body part is within a movement volume at surface parts and inside a living being, has a sound receiver device and a sound source. The sound receiver device is outside the living being and has spatially distinguishable sound receiver inputs located in an X-Y-Z coordinate system. The sound source is outside the living being, and configured to emit a first sound wave to propagate as far as the movement volume. The sound receiver device detects a second sound wave having a defined excitation wavelength or frequency, wherein the second sound wave is generated when the first sound wave causes a spectral exciter to oscillate. The sound receiver device is positioned such that the second sound wave encounters at least a maximum number of sound receiver inputs.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 5, 2008Publication date: August 7, 2008Applicant: Siemens Schweiz AGInventors: Thomas Broennimann, Laurent Cloutot

Publication number: 20070183463Abstract: In one aspect a method for combining time-division multiplex signals in order to obtain a time-division multiplex signal, all of the signals having the same number on the periodic time-division multiplexed channels is provided. According to the method, a novel allocation of the content in non-occupied channels of the time-division multiplex signals is controlled in such a manner by a mutual time displacement of the content of occupied channels in the time-division multiplex signals, such that the combination thereof in the obtained time-division signal is collision free. In another aspect an arrangement which is suitable for carrying out the method, wherein any particular two time-division multiplex signals, for example, multiple bit rates of 10, 40, 80, 120, 160, etc. GBit/s are combined in a collision free manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2004Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Laurent Cloutot, Gottfried Lehmann, Harald Rohde, Wolfgang Schairer
