The electrical contact is crimped to the cable, at different heights, in such a way as to obtain a mechanical retention portion and an electrical conduction portion. The difference between the final crimping heights of the mechanical retention portion and the electrical conduction portion is between 0.5 and 0.6 mm. A tool for implementing this method is also described herein.
