Abstract: A lumbar belt having two branches, wherein each branch includes two elastic strips which are superimposed according to the anterior-posterior direction and which extend from the lateral end portion to the medial end portion of the branch. A first strip is upwardly inclined at an angle ? with respect to the longitudinal axis of the belt, and a second strip is downwardly inclined at an angle ? with respect to the longitudinal axis of the belt. The lower lateral corner of the second strip is offset vertically upwards with respect to the lower lateral corner of the first strip, and the lower edge of the branch has a lower indentation configured to be located above a thigh of the wearer.
