  • Patent number: 7011492
Abstract: A turbine vane includes a perforated liner defining an annular cavity between an outside wall of the liner and an inside wall of the vane, an air admission opening for feeding the inside of the liner with cooling air, and an air exhaust opening for exhausting a fraction of the cooling air from the vane. The liner is secured to the vane at one end and free at the other end to slide along an inside edge of the vane under the effects of relative thermal expansion between the liner and the inside wall of the vane. An annular gap between the free end of the liner and the inside edge of the vane defines a leakage zone for cooling air and the inside edge includes a recess for generating head loss in this leakage zone so as to reduce the flow rate of cooling air passing through the leakage zone.

  • Publication number: 20050240837
Abstract: A method of operating a control unit (CU) begins by performing a power on reset. If the CU receives a start-up message within a predefined time period after the reset, then the CU enters a diagnostic mode in which a diagnostic communication can be established with a diagnostic unit. If no start-up message is received within the predefined time period, the CU enters a normal mode of operation. The CU includes a memory designated to store data unique for a respective vehicle type, a first communication module allowing communication via a bus system under a first protocol for normal operation of the CU, and a second communication module allowing communication via the bus system under a second protocol for accessing the memory.

  • Publication number: 20040208748
Abstract: A turbomachine turbine vane including a multiply-perforated liner defining an annular cavity between an outside wall of the liner and an inside wall of the vane, an air admission opening for feeding the inside of the liner with cooling air and an air exhaust opening for exhausting a fraction of the cooling air from the vane, the liner being secured to the vane at one end and being free at its other to slide along an inside edge of the vane under the effects of relative thermal expansion between the liner and the inside wall of the vane, the annular gap between said free end of the liner and the inside edge of the vane defining a leakage zone for cooling air and the inside edge includes a recess for generating head loss in this leakage zone so as to reduce the flow rate of cooling air passing therethrough.

  • Patent number: 6262045
Abstract: Compounds of general formula (I) in which X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a methyl, methoxy or phenylmethoxy group, Y represents a hydrogen atom, 1 or 2 halogen atoms or a hydroxyl, methoxy, nitro or methyl group, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a (C1-C4)alkyl group, R2 and R3 each represent a hydrogen atom, a (C1-C4)alkyl group or a phenylmethyl group or else R2 and R3 form, with the nitrogen atom which carries them, an azetidinyl, pyrrolidinyl, 3-ethoxypyrrolidinyl, piperidinyl, morpholinyl, 4-methylpiperazinyl or 1,3-thiazolidinyl group. Application in therapeutics.

  • Patent number: 5567073
Abstract: Applicator device for liquid, including a container and a dispenser head connected to the container via a dispenser cap. The dispenser head is made of a porous material. The container is a pressurized reservoir equipped with a dispenser valve. The dispenser head is borne by a support connected to a joining piece for cooperating with the valve to open the valve when a mechanical stress is exerted on the dispenser head. The liquid discharged from the reservoir during valve opening is channelled through the joining piece towards an inner face of the dispenser head. The dispenser cap includes a fastening member for connecting the cap to the reservoir. A flexible element connects the fastening member and the support, the rigid skirt being connected, in the vicinity of its upper edge, to a cylindrical wall which constitutes the flexible element. The dispenser cap is made in one piece by plastic molding.

  • Patent number: 5258385
Abstract: The invention relates to novel .beta.-carboline-derived compounds which are benzodiazepine-receptor ligands having an inverse agonist and antagonist effect on benzodiazepines. These compounds are of the formulae: ##STR1## in which: X is O, S, ##STR2## or alternatively, ##STR3## represents the radical --N(R.sub.6)--C(=O)--CH.sub.2 --X, R.sub.1 is a hydroxyl, alkoxy or alkyl radical substituted by a hydroxyl or alkoxy radical,R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, hydroxyl, alkoxy, acyloxy or benzyloxy radical, it being possible for said radicals to be optionally substituted,R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are chosen from a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical optionally substituted by a hydroxyl, alkoxy or alkoxycarbonylmethyl radical,as well as the corresponding tetrahydro derivatives of .beta.-carboline and the quaternary ammonium salts or derivatives of these pharmaceutically acceptable compounds.
