  • Patent number: 9749980
Abstract: Each terminal wishing to access a communication service implemented in a communications network transmits an identifier of subscription to this service during a phase of registration (3.1; 3.2) with the network. With each service subscription identifier is associated a call identifier to enable calling the terminal registered via the network. A system (1.2, 1.3) intended to register at least one terminal (1.4) from amongst a plurality of terminals (1.3; 1.4) in a telephony network includes means for dynamically changing the service subscription identifier (3.11, 3.12, 3.13) and the associated call identifier (3.4, 3.5, 3.6), for at least one of said terminals, and means for re-registering (3.15) with said network each terminal for which the service subscription identifier and the associated call identifier have been dynamically changed.

  • Patent number: 6611689
Abstract: A system for integrating mobile terminals into a private telecommunication system includes first and second servers respectively associated with a public mobile telecommunication system accessed by the mobile terminals and with the private telecommunication system. The servers enable setting up of incoming or outgoing calls relating to the mobile terminals and in accordance with a private numbering scheme specific to the private telecommunication system. They hold first and second service data relating to mobile terminal users. The first and second servers cooperate for setting up calls relating to the mobile terminals and/or managing service data.

  • Patent number: 6161014
Abstract: A method is described of handing over calls between two relay stations, respectively a current relay station and a target relay station in the same cell of a digital cellular mobile radio system, the cell being associated with a base transceiver station comprising a plurality of relay stations including the current and target relay stations and geographically distributed within the cell. Each relay station comprises at least one antenna connected to at least one transmit/receive device. Each relay station has a plurality of traffic channels and a plurality of associated signaling channels. A call being set up for a mobile station is allocated, from the channels of the current relay station, at least one current traffic channel and at least one current associated signaling channel. The plurality of relay stations shares at least one particular traffic channel, constituting a shared traffic channel, which is reserved at least partly for handover.

  • Patent number: 5615215
Abstract: A TDMA radio communication system such as GSM has a limited time period (td) over which the transmission from a mobile station (MS1 . . . MS5) can be advanced to allow for the transit time of the signal between the mobile and the base station (BS), and this limits the maximum range of the system to radius R1. By co-locating a first transceiver (TX1/RX1) operating on a first frequency band (F1) and a second transceiver (TX2/RX2) operating on a second frequency band (F0), and delaying the reception time slots of RX2 by td, the first transceiver can be used for communication up to radius R1, and the second transceiver can be used for communication for mobiles between radius R1 and radius R0. Idle mobiles are instructed to camp on F0 and RX1 is switched during access request periods to look for access requests on F0.
