  • Publication number: 20020131332
Abstract: The watch case includes a back cover (2), a middle part (3) and a bezel (4) closed by a crystal (5) delimiting together a space in which a watch movement (1) is housed for an analogue or digital time display on a dial (6) arranged below the crystal (5). It is characterized in that the bezel (4) is made of metal and has locally a ring (14) of sufficient thickness to include in its lower portion a first series of threaded holes (11) for screwing in a first series of screws (10) for fixing the movement (1) onto the bezel (4) and a second series of threaded holes (21), offset angularly with respect to the first series, passing through the movement (1), and intended for screwing the back cover (2) into the lower part of the bezel (4).

  • Patent number: 6441516
Abstract: The device includes a barrel (2) inserted in the kinematic chain between the rotor (11) of the generator (1) and the oscillating weight (3). The barrel includes a spiral coiled spring (4) and a sliding strip (6), wound in the same direction as the spiral coiled spring over the length of a turn, without any mechanical connection with the spring, but forming a protective envelope in the open position in case of shock. The shockproof device can be applied to the generator of a wristwatch.

  • Patent number: 6198697
Abstract: A watch case (1) including a wall (6) with an outer face and an inner face, which defines a housing intended to accommodate a watch movement (7), and control means (4) able to have at least a first and a second state, which include a moving element (8) mounted so as to slide over the outer face of said wall (6) and able to occupy at least two positions, each position corresponding to one of said states. This watch case is characterised in that said control means (4) further include a push button (9), mounted so as to slide in a hole (6a) passing through said wall (6) and provided with an inner end (9a) intended to co-operate with said movement (7) and with an outer end (9b) co-operating with said moving element (8) and a body in contact with a sealing gasket (10) inserted between said push button (9) and said wall (6).

  • Patent number: 6016289
Abstract: The power generator (1) powers an instrument of small volume and is driven, via a gear train, by an oscillating weight (2), said train including a plurality of wheels and pinions (18, 4, 6, 19) arranged in a chain (3). The chain includes a sliding wheel and pinion (4) arranged to disengage from at least one of the other wheel and pinions (18) when the weight (2) is subjected to an acceleration substantially exceeding that occurring during normal use of the instrument.

  • Patent number: 5831939
Abstract: A timepiece and a case intended to fit such a timepiece. This timepiece comprises a clockwork movement (12), a case (2) consisting of a caseband (4) and a back cover (6) forming a housing (10) for receiving said movement (12), means for axial positioning (25, 26) and means for lateral positioning (P) of the movement (12) with respect to the case (2). The axial positioning means are arranged in a peripheral region of the housing (10) and may allow a lateral play along a support plane (27). The lateral positioning means (P) are arranged respectively on the back cover (6) of the case (2) and on a lower part (14b) of the frame (14), preferably in the form of a central stud (6) fixed to the back cover (6) and engaged with an axial play in an opening (38) of the movement.

  • Patent number: 5303213
Abstract: This unidirectional correction arrangement (1) for a display device exhibiting a circular element (2) provided with teeth (3) includes a cylindrical element (4) around which is wrapped a helical spring (5), one of the ends of which serves as a finger (6) adapted to come into contact with a tooth (3). When the cylindrical element (4) is driven in rotation in a sense (A) for which the force (F1) exerted on the finger by the tooth is directed in a sense tending to wrap the spring around the cylindrical element and to tighten it therearound, the circular element (2) rotates. Such circular element (2) will not be driven when the cylindrical element (4) is driven so as to rotate in a sense (B) for which the force (F2) exerted on the finger by the tooth is directed in a sense tending to open the helical spring.

  • Patent number: 5043957
Abstract: The watch (1) in accordance with the invention comprises positioning means for the movement in the case. The positioning means comprise two blind holes (30) arranged in the case (6) and two centering elements (32), these latter having a first part driven into the blind holes and a second part (36) projecting from the case and cooperating with openings (38) provided in the movement.

  • Patent number: 5043958
Abstract: The watch case (1) is of plastic material and provided with a hole (3) in which a push button (6) may slide. The end (12) of the stem (7) of the push button includes a bulge (13) the diameter of which is greater than that of the neck (11) formed at the end of the hole opening into the interior of the case (1). When the stem (7) is introduced into the hole (3) of the wall (2) the bulge (13) elastically deforms the neck (11) which afterwards reassumes its initial form and assures axial positioning of the stem (7).
