  • Publication number: 20020131559
Abstract: A method of calibration for reconstructing three-dimensional models from images obtained by a tomography apparatus comprising a radiation detector and an X-ray source which can move with respect to the detector. In the method a set of markers are placed in the field of the X-rays and the positions of the projections of the markers onto the images acquired are processed so as to deduce from this the position of the source at the time of acquisitions, the markers being carried by one and the same support. The markers are fixed with respect to the support and the positions of the projections of the markers onto the images acquired are processed so as to deduce from this the position of the markers in space.

  • Publication number: 20020122536
Abstract: Method and apparatus for viewing instrument markers used in medical imaging for calibrating a surgical or medical procedure assistance system. The apparatus comprises acquiring radiographic images, constructing a three-dimensional model from a set of radiographic images acquired, and locating, in a given coordinate system, at least one marker placed on an instrument used during the procedure. A set of opaque elements appearing on the images is placed in the field of the apparatus, and in that the position of a set of markers rigidly connected to the set of opaque elements is determined with respect to the locating coordinate system. A transformation is applied to the coordinate system for locating a marker whose position is automatically determined, depending on the positions thus determined for these markers in the coordinate system.

  • Publication number: 20020123680
Abstract: The method comprises a phase of reconstruction of a static three-dimensional image of the object from a first set of digitized two-dimensional projected images of the object respectively obtained for different positions of a camera around the object, a phase of acquisition of at least a second set of n static two-dimensional projected images respectively obtained for a same first position of the camera and at n successive propagation times of the contrast medium, and a phase of reconstruction of the dynamic three-dimensional image of the object from each static two-dimensional image of the second set and the reconstructed static three-dimensional image.

  • Patent number: 6385285
Abstract: Method of reconstruction of a three-dimensional image of an element of interest comprises a phase of acquisition of digital radiographic images by rotation of an camera around the organ, a phase of marking the position of the element of interest from image to image, and a phase of reconstruction of the three-dimensional image of the element of interest from acquired images and positions of the element of interest successively located in the successive images.

  • Publication number: 20020048343
Abstract: Method of generating three-dimensional images of an object from at least two series of two-dimensional images comprises a third series of two-dimensional image is generated by subtracting the images of one of the two series of images from the other series; a three-dimensional reconstruction is made from the third series of images in order to obtain a subtracted three-dimensional image; a three-dimensional reconstruction is made from the first series of images in order to obtain a three-dimensional image corresponding to the first series; and a three-dimensional image corresponding to the second series of two-dimensional images is generated. A device for generating the three-dimensional images; a radiology apparatus including the device; a computer program code for carrying out the method; and a support having the program stored therein.
