  • Publication number: 20210178136
Abstract: Disclosed is an implantable medical device for locoregional injection and/or sampling in the lumen of a blood vessel or in a parenchyma, including a microfluidic chip and a cover. The microfluidic chip includes at least one microfluidic channel extending from a first face of the microfluidic chip to a second face of the microfluidic chip. The cover includes at least two hollow micro-needles protruding from the cover. The cover is fixed to the second surface of the microfluidic chip so the microfluidic channel is in fluid connection with the at least two hollow micro-needles. The length of the hollow micro-needles projecting from the cover is configured such that when the cover is implanted on the outer wall of a blood vessel or on a parenchyma, the end of the hollow micro-needles penetrates into the lumen of the blood vessel or into the parenchyma.

  • Patent number: 9737621
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrophobic thermoplastic copolymer which is in particular of use for manufacturing and/or coating medical devices, in particular implantable medical devices, characterized in that it is obtained by copolymerization, and in that it comprises at least one first monomer unit and at least one second monomer unit onto which is grafted a paramagnetic-ion-chelating ligand which can complex with such a paramagnetic ion or a paramagnetic-ion-chelating ligand which is complexed with such a paramagnetic ion, wherein the second monomer unit is grafted in sufficient amount for the copolymer to be visible in magnetic resonance imaging when it is complexed with said paramagnetic ion. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining said hydrophobic thermoplastic copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20080048064
Abstract: A system and a method discriminates a roll placed in a paper roll dispenser, as well as a paper roll with a core having at least one passive electrically conductive element, to be used in conjunction with the dispenser. The system includes a probe sensitive to a presence of an electrically conductive element in proximity thereof, the probe being located within the paper roll dispenser such that when the roll is positioned within the dispenser, the probe is in proximity of the roll. The system also includes an application for applying an input signal to the probe, a detector for detecting an output signal from the probe, the output signal being indicative of a presence of the electrically conductive element proximate the probe, and a discriminator for discriminating the paper roll based on a value of the output signal detected by the detector.

  • Publication number: 20050011987
Abstract: The invention comprises a system and a method for discriminating a roll placed in a paper roll dispenser, as well as a paper roll with a core comprising at least one passive element having an electrical conductivity different from that of the core, to be used in conjunction with the dispenser. The system comprises at least two conducting plates located within the paper roll dispenser such that when the roll is positioned within the dispenser, the plates are in proximity of the roll, the plates being electrically insulated from each other, means for detecting capacitance between the plates and generating a signal indicative of said capacitance and means for discriminatng said paper roll based on a value of the signal.
