  • Patent number: 10296781
Abstract: A method for detecting events in a signal received on a detection sensor linked to a processor comprises: given events of nature {Ee}e=1 . . . Ne, a domain of votes D composed of I sub-domains Di={[di, di+1[} with i=1 . . . I and a dictionary of micro-events {mi}i=1 . . . M, initialize to an identical value an array S containing values of scores, S[e][p], where p is a spatial or temporal position index (p?D), detect micro-events mn (n=1 . . . N), located at tn (n=1 . . . N), corresponding to a quantization of a local observation On in the signal, for each micro-event mn located at tn, for each type of event “e”, for each sub-domain Di update the array S[e][tn+p] by adding a constant value for all locations p?Di, determine a set of events associated with an observation in the signal on the basis of array S, and detect the most probable event.

  • Patent number: 9361696
Abstract: A method of determining a triplet of parameters defining a ground plane based on a depth image includes determining a plurality of triplets of parameters, each defining a ground plane, spatial filtering of the parameters, and temporal filtering of the parameters. The temporal filtering is dependent on an indicator of quality of depth image data available for determination of the ground plane. The temporal filtering is dependent on an indicator of quality of the ground plane determined after spatial filtering. Similarly, the spatial filtering can be parameterized as a function of the two indicators. Globally, the more the estimated plane for a depth image can “explain” the points in this image, the more accurately planes of the subsequent images are determined. For the spatial filtering, the ground plane is searched in a more limited space, and, for the temporal filtering, the previously estimated ground planes considered to a lesser degree.

  • Patent number: 9098774
Abstract: A method for detection of a target present on at least two images of the same scene captured by separate cameras comprises a prior step for learning about targets under setup conditions and further comprises, under conditions of use, a simultaneous classification step for objects present on the images, the target being said to be detected as soon as an object is classified as being one of the targets learned during the learning step. The classification step includes a step for adapting at least one of the images to the setup conditions under which the learning step took place. Application: surveillance, assistance and safety based on stereoscopic images.

  • Patent number: 7053292
Abstract: This device (1) enables the user to personalize the call signal (ringing) which it is called on to deliver. This personalization consists of transforming a melody (FIG. 1) which the user hums into his microphone in order to transform it into a polyphonic melody (FIG. 8). Application: Ringing for mobile telephones.

  • Publication number: 20030059055
Abstract: The invention relates to a communication receiver provided with spatialization means for generating a pseudo-stereophonic output signal from a monophonic input signal. The spatialization means comprise spectrum extension means for generating on a first output channel an output signal containing synthesis frequencies extrapolated from part of the original band of the monophonic input signal, while the input signal is sent over a second output channel.

  • Publication number: 20030039352
Abstract: The invention relates to a communication receiver provided with a loudspeaker and/or a microphone and means for automatically adapting the volume of the loudspeaker and/or microphone according to the local acoustic environment of the receiver and in particular the degree of confinement of the environment. Confinement detection means are provided and comprise adaptive filtering means for modeling the acoustic channel of the receiver by means of the pulse response of an adaptive filter and calculation and comparison means for calculating a power ratio between a partial power and the total power of said pulse response to compare it with reference values and to derive therefrom an estimation of said degree of confinement. Application: Mobile telephony.
