  • Patent number: 8312965
Abstract: A belaying device for a rope comprises a metal body having at least one slit for passage of a loop of a rope, and a retaining element in the form of a bow integral to the body without being articulated on the latter, and designed to control the relative separation movement of the body with respect to a carabiner passing through the loop. The device further comprises flexible means arranged to move the body towards the carabiner when blocking of the rope takes place, and to move the body away automatically when the rope is released.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 10, 2007
Date of Patent: November 20, 2012

  • Patent number: 6966127
Abstract: An ice spike comprises a fixing clamp attached to the fixed rear part of the armature and having a cross-bar designed to latch directly onto a rear rim of the sole. The front part of the armature comprises stop means to wedge the front of the shoe in the longitudinal direction. A strapping system is provided with at least one safety lanyard arranged to press the shoe against the bearing surface. After lengthwise adjustment of the strip has been performed according to the shoe size, fitting the shoe does not require any variation of distance between the rear fixing clamp and the front stop means.

  • Patent number: 6766597
Abstract: The ice spike for mountaineering is composed of a front frame and a rear frame joined to one another by a joining strip which comprises two parallel rows of holes spaced at regular intervals. Lengthwise adjustment of the ice spike is performed by the joining strip and a stud designed to be inserted in one of the holes of one of the two rows of the joining strip. The holes of the second row are offset longitudinally with respect to those of the first row, this enabling the length of the spike to be adjusted by one shoe size or by half a shoe size.
