Patent number: 11608179Abstract: A cabin of a vehicle for transporting passengers includes a plurality of units, each unit including a seat and a modular seat extension arranged staggered in the units. Each extension includes a shell having a front bottom and a rear opening determined by a hollow volume open towards the rear and a footrest area inside the hollow volume suitable for receiving the feet of a passenger. The shell of each extension includes an invariant portion and a modular portion located in front of the invariant portion. The modular portion making it possible during the fastening thereof to the invariant portion to obtain an extension with a length that can be modified between the opening and the bottom of the shell and, a width of passage towards the aisle between the seats and the extensions of the units is maintained constant during the use of the extensions by the passengers.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2019Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: AIRBUS ATLANTICInventors: Gabriel Martin, Laurent Texeraud, Sylvain Gonfalone

Patent number: 10897997Abstract: A seat including a seat portion, a backrest, and a headrest attached to a structure of the backrest. The headrest includes a head cushion attached to the backrest by at least one headrest arm; the arm is hingedly attached to the backrest structure by a pivot link with a transverse axis; the head cushion is hinged to the arm by a pivot link with a transverse axis. Moreover, the first axis is situated at a rear face of a structural part of the backrest; the second axis is situated close to the bottom edge of the head cushion; in the lowered position, the arm holds the head cushion bearing against the front face of the backrest; in the raised position, the arm holds the head cushion above and in front of the lowered position.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2017Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: STELIA AEROSPACEInventor: Laurent Texeraud

Patent number: 10486814Abstract: A seat, including a seat bottom for which a seat frame is supported by a base, and a seat back, the seat including a “seated” position, a “lying” position and an intermediate “resting” position. A seat plate can be moved in rotation around a rear axis located at the side of a rear edge of the seat, the seat plate being movable in rotation around a tilting axis in front of the rear axis, the seat frame is moved forward during conversion from the “seated” position to the “lying” position. An essentially horizontal rear segment. An intermediate rear segment with a downward slope greater than the slope followed by the tilting axis. An intermediate front segment with an essentially horizontal upward slope.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2018Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Assignee: STELIA AEROSPACEInventors: Laurent Texeraud, Benoît Trillaud, Christophe Canal

Publication number: 20190031353Abstract: A seat includes a sitting surface and a box, including a casing located under a cushion support surface of the sitting surface. The box can be stationarily secured or removably secured to a structure of the sitting surface by means of one or more articulated arm(s). The box includes a set of attachment locations including a first subset in which each attachment location is located opposite a fixed attachment point on the structure, and a second subset in which the fasteners are different from those of the first subset and in which each attachment location is located opposite a point of attachment on an articulated arm when the seat is provided with articulated arm(s). The method for converting a seat without a leg rest into a seat with a leg rest, or vice versa, includes securing the box simultaneously to the structure and to at least one articulated arm.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2018Publication date: January 31, 2019Inventor: Laurent TEXERAUD

Patent number: 9446848Abstract: A set includes two blocks each of two seats convertible for lying down, wherein the two blocks are arranged with the seats of one block face-to-face with the seats of the other block inside a circumscribed rectangle. Each block includes a first seat and a second seat. The first-seats of the two blocks are arranged along a first diagonal of the circumscribed rectangle and the longitudinal axes of the first seats are oriented so that their directions are close to the first diagonal and the first seats are substantially face-to-face. The distance between the two first seats is such that a foot area of a first seat of a block is superposed when seen from above with a foot area of the first seat of the other block. In the recumbent configuration, the planes to lie down on of the two first seats are at different heights.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2014Date of Patent: September 20, 2016Assignee: STELIA AEROSPACEInventors: Olivier Jerome, Laurent Texeraud, Gabriel Martin

Patent number: 9434277Abstract: A seat for a passenger cabin of a vehicle includes a bucket seat (10), the bucket seat including a seat pan (11) and a back rest (12) attached to the seat pan with which it determines a dihedron with a constant angle, integral with a base (20). The bucket seat is mobile, between a sitting position “a,” in which the seat pan (11) is approximately horizontal, and a resting position “r,” in which the back rest (12) is pivoted rearward by an angle  relative to the sitting position “a,” in rotation relative to the base around an axis of rotation (21), approximately fixed relative to the base, located above the seat pan (11) and in front of the back rest (12) when the bucket seat is in the sitting position “a.” The pivoting axis is defined by, for example, the shape of slides on which rollers or shoes travel.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2014Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Assignee: STELIA AEROSPACEInventors: Olivier Jerome, Gabriel Martin, Laurent Texeraud
