  • Publication number: 20210053861
Abstract: A method for generating a sequence of cutting plans for cutting out a sequence P of glass pieces in a sequence F of glass sheets, the glass pieces to be stacked according to order and/or positioning requirements on one or more stands Ck, includes retrieving information relating to the location and nature of faults in each of the glass sheets of the sequence F; defining an optimization criterion ?; generating, implemented by computer, of one or more sequences Si of cutting plans PDij for the glass sheets according to the location of the faults in each of the glass sheets and while satisfying the order and/or positioning requirements of the glass pieces for each stand Ck; selecting, implemented by computer, of one of the sequences Si of cutting plans PDij according to the optimization criterion ?.

  • Patent number: 9669558
Abstract: A method for cutting out pieces of glass from a glass sheet, includes, a step of automatic generation by a computer with a storage unit, containing programs to calculate a first optimum plan for guillotine cutting at a number of hierarchical levels of different pieces from each of the glass sheet, as a function of information; a step of reading information relating to defects in the glass sheet, a step of automatic generation by a computer with a storage unit, containing programs to calculate a second optimum plan for guillotine cutting at a number of hierarchical levels from the glass sheet, based on the first optimum cutting plan and at least some of the information relating to the defects, including permutations of cross cut sections at the same hierarchical level within the glass sheet; a step of cutting pieces of glass in accordance with the second optimum cutting plan generated.

  • Publication number: 20150310448
Abstract: A method and system for identifying defects in glass are provided. The method includes identifying, using an identifier device, each of a plurality of sheets of glass with an identifier; generating, using a mapping device, a map of glass attributes for each of the plurality of sheets of glass; associating, using a computer system, the map of attributes of each of the plurality of sheets of glass with the identifier of a corresponding each of the plurality of sheets of glass; storing the map of glass attributes of each of the sheets of glass in a database; and providing a customer with a level of access to information in the database so as to allow the customer to retrieve at least part of the map of attributes of sheets of glass acquired by the customer.
