  • Patent number: 6784841
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and arrangement for positioning one or more mobile stations, in which the location of the mobile stations is determined in the horizontal direction using at least two radio direction finding stations. Information on the location of each mobile station is maintained on a server. The mobile station measures at least one variable proportional to the location of the mobile station in the vertical direction and signals information on the measurement results to a control unit time-divisionally at the same frequency controlled by the control unit. In the control unit the location of each mobile station is determined in the vertical direction on the basis of the signalled data and the data on the location is conveyed to the server, where the three-dimensional location of the mobile stations is determined. The locations of at least some of the mobile stations are displayed graphically.

  • Patent number: 5047739
Abstract: The invention relates to a resonator structure comprising a helix resonator (1) wound of metal wire into a cylindrical coil and supported by a plate (2) of insulating material disposed therewithin. A helix resonator is usually made in the form of a cylindrical coil and supported by disposing within the coil a frame made of a ceramic material or plastic in various ways. This is necessary for providing a sufficient mechanical strength. However, such a structure is difficult and expensive to manufacture in series production especially with smaller resonator sizes. These problems are solved by means of a resonator according to the invention in such a manner that at least a part of the insulating plate (2) comprises an electrical circuit formed by strip lines (3), and that the helix resonator (1) is electrically connected to said circuit.

  • Patent number: 5028896
Abstract: The invention relates to a stripline circuit comprising at least one stripline pattern (2 to 6) made of a material of high electrical conductivity on the surface of a printed board (1) made of a dielectric material, a metallic or metal coated cover (8 to 12) being provided in the vicinity of the stripline pattern in an electrically non-conducting manner with respect to it, and the distance of the cover (8 to 12) from the stripline pattern being adjustable to regulate the characteristic impedance of the stripline. In order to simplify practical circuit solutions, each cover (8 to 12) is integral with a casing (7) protecting the printed board (1).

  • Patent number: 4912437
Abstract: The invention relates to a stripline circuit comprising a stripline structure of a high-conductive material disposed on the surface of a board of a dielectric material, as well as a method for regulating such a stripline circuit. The invention is characterized in that a metallic or metal coated cover (4) is non-conductively provided in the vicinity of the stripline structure (2), the distance of the cover from the stripline being adjustable to regulate the characteristic impedance of the stripline. The distance of the cover from the stripline is preferably adjusted by bending the cover (4).

  • Patent number: 4221260
Abstract: The present invention concerns a control and measuring system for flat-individual heating/cooling, meant to serve the purposes of charging for the total heating/cooling energy consumption individually per flat, said system comprising as components known in themselves in prior art: room thermostats, which govern the valves of heating radiators or cooling evaporators, the thermostats and valves presenting an on/off design, and measuring pick-ups for the heating/cooling fluid temperature on the outgoing and return sides, and a connecting unit for transfer of the measurement data to a central unit, which is responsible for data processing and output.
