  • Patent number: 9863702
Abstract: A process for ore moisture removal by exposure of the ore to a hot and dry air stream is described. Also described is a conveyor belt and a transfer chute adapted for the use of the above process. Among other aspects, the process has the function of reducing moisture in ores prior to the shipping stage of this material.

  • Patent number: 9004286
Abstract: A process for concentrating manganese from the tailing of a manganese-carrying mineral including removing a coarse particle size fraction from the tailing, desliming and conducting an acidic or a basic reverse cationic flotation. The manganese-carrying minerals are typically minerals with low manganese content from the lithologies “Tabular Pelite” (or PETB), Pelite Siltite (or PEST), Detritic (or DETR), Rich Pelite (or PERC) and Metallurgical Bioxide (or BXME). In another aspect, the present invention also relates to a reverse cationic flotation used to concentrate manganese which is carried out using depressor agents and collector agents as flotation reagents.

  • Publication number: 20130306525
Abstract: A system and method utilize model-based control of a froth flotation process for concentrating a desired target mineral from ground ore. The system and method exploit real time information about a surface tension of a pulp or flotation solution including the minerals. The surface tension represents exemplary additional information about the surface chemistry in the flotation process, and as such enables a refinement of a pulp model used in control of the flotation process. Ultimately, operational efficiency of a froth flotation plant is increased.
