  • Patent number: 11860123
Abstract: An apparatus comprising: a membrane with a first side, a second side, and a pore that extends through the membrane; a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising: electronic sensing of an electrical characteristic associated with a translocation of a test DNA through the pore, resulting in a sensed electrical characteristic; comparing the sensed electrical characteristic with a plurality of reference electrical characteristics, wherein each of the plurality of reference electrical characteristics is associated with a respective one of a plurality of reference features, and wherein the comparing results in a comparison result; and determining, based upon the comparison result, with which of the plurality of reference features a feature of the test DNA corresponds. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230113750
Abstract: A system performs group testing on a population of items. The group testing identifies items satisfying particular criteria from a population of items, for example, defective items from the population. The group testing may be performed for software or hardware testing, for testing a human population, for training of deep learning applications, and so on. The system trains a machine learning based model, for example, a reinforcement learning based model to evaluate groups. The model may further determine system dynamics that may represent priors of items. An agent treats the population and groups of items being tested as the environment and performs actions, for example, adjusting the groups. The system also performs a non-adaptive strategy based on monte carlo simulation of tests based on a simulation results.

  • Patent number: 10965448
Abstract: Examples for distributed and secure storage of a data block amongst a network of nodes are presented. An example embodiment may involve logically partitioning the network of nodes into non-overlapping zones, each zone containing a subset of the nodes and generating a private key for use within a particular zone. The embodiment may further involve encrypting the data block with the private key, partitioning the data block as encrypted into sub-blocks, and distributing the sub-blocks amongst a subset of the nodes that is within the particular zone. The embodiment may also involve using a secret sharing process to divide the private key into a number of shares equivalent to a number of nodes in the particular subset of the nodes and distributing the shares of the private key amongst the particular subset of the nodes, such that each node therein receives exactly one of the shares of the private key.
