  • Patent number: 7628822
Abstract: This invention relates to a fabric having a pattern of fades and a methodology for their creation, both industrial and artistic. The fades are created by contacting at least one portion of the fabric with a hypochlorite salt-containing composition. The resulting fabric has a faded appearance either uniformly or non-uniformly. Methods, kits and a device for making a fabric having a pattern of fades are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7585829
Abstract: Methodologies and equipment for preparing a hypochlorite solution bleach consumer product to remove menstrual fluid, underarm perspiration or other hard-to-remove stains from soft fabric articles with reduced damage to the fabric articles when compared with popular chlorine bleaches. The soft fabric articles preferably are in white, although the present invention can also be applied to articles in other colors. In one embodiment, the weight concentration ratio of the alkali metal hydroxide over the hypochlorite salt in the hypochlorite admixture solution is no less than 1:12.5. The hypochlorite admixture solution may contain at least 0.2% by weight of sodium hydroxide and/or have a pH of at least 11.8.

  • Publication number: 20070287652
Abstract: A system, product and methodology for making bleach cotton-gentle. A sodium hydroxide additive, which consumers can combine with household bleach, creates a bleach having the same strength as the household bleach but also cotton-gentle, and having significantly prolonged useful shelf life. The present invention also describes a system and methodology for the additive combination, and a system, product and a process for the production of large volumes of industrial strength bleach (sodium hypochlorite at about 11% to 16% by weight with appropriate dilution to about 5.25% to about 6% by weight) with inherent properties of chemical stability and cotton tolerance compatible with the requirements of laundry use.
