  • Patent number: 9828052
Abstract: A system for use in testing the installation of an airbag module in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a jig and an instrument coupled to the jig. The instrument includes a contact assembly and a linear actuator coupled to the contact assembly such that, when the contact assembly is seated adjacent to the airbag module, the contact assembly is selectively moveable towards the airbag module relative to the jig via the linear actuator for testing the installation of the airbag module.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 29, 2016
Date of Patent: November 28, 2017
    Assignee: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
Inventors: David Edward Schludecker, Ryo Nakajima, Derek Alan Davish, Junichi Kakuda, Junnosuke Sakai, Adam William Meyer, Joseph Lawrence Beck, Andrew Kent Hittle

  • Publication number: 20160288970
Abstract: A liquid container for a comestible product such as milk or juice includes a base having a substantially planar region, a top surface having a substantially planar region parallel to the substantially planar region of the base and having a pour spout. A sidewall is integrally formed with and extends between the base and top surface, and includes a structural load distributing feature that transfers loads from the top surface to the base. A handle is interposed between the base and top surface and integrally formed with the base, top surface, and sidewall. The containers can be arrayed into units and stacked on top of one another. A first flexible material such as a shrink wrap holds the individual containers together and a second flexible material maintains the stacked array of containers together so that cases that typically hold the containers can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8700439
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method includes an action manager to receive a manual action selected by a user and an action console coupled to the action manager to present via the action console a user interface specific to the manual action selected by the user. The apparatus, system and method display a directory having one or more manual actions to a user, receives a selection identifying a manual action from the user; and submits the identified manual action to an automated workflow process to execute the identified manual action.

  • Patent number: 8341645
Abstract: An exception management system comprising a centralized exception engine for processing exception messages from a plurality of source systems across a firm (or enterprise) and for generating workflow items where needed from the exception messages. The centralized exception engine may comprise an exception backbone that receives the exception messages from the source systems and processes the exception messages based on business rules. The exception messages may adhere to an exception message definition format. Users may access the exception information via a user interface. The exception engine may send alerts to certain users in certain circumstances based on the business rules.
