  • Patent number: 10380990
Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine and/or powertrain producing noise that is audible in a passenger compartment of the vehicle when the engine and/or powertrain is running. An active noise control arrangement includes a first loudspeaker disposed within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. A digital signal processor receives audio data and transmits an audio signal to the first loudspeaker dependent upon the audio data. A microphone is disposed within the passenger compartment and converts the sound from the first loudspeaker and the noise within the passenger compartment into a microphone signal. The microphone signal is transmitted to the digital signal processor, and the digital signal processor modifies the audio signal such that the audio signal attenuates the noise in the passenger compartment.

  • Patent number: 9851771
Abstract: Dynamic monitoring of current draw by a memory device or memory subsystem can enable a power management system to adjust a memory access performance parameter based on monitored power usage. The system can generate a power usage characterization for the memory device and/or memory subsystem based on monitoring current draw for a known pattern, and then subsequently use the power usage characterization to determine how to adjust the memory access performance parameter.

  • Patent number: 6867889
Abstract: A holographic optical element (HOE) device is mounted in wireless optical telecommunication system transceiver. The HOE device includes a developed emulsion material having an interference pattern recorded thereon, sandwiched between a pair of elements, such as a pair of clear glass plates. In operation, the HOE device uses the recorded interference pattern to diffract received light rays towards an optical processing unit of the system receiver. A transmitter unit can be positioned at least in part behind the HOE device. An opening in the emulsion material allows a light signal transmitted from the transmitter unit to be substantially unaffected by the recorded interference pattern. The transceiver can also include a spotting scope and an alignment beacon.

  • Publication number: 20020140848
Abstract: A chamber for a surveillance camera that is designed to be mounted inside a larger camera housing. The chamber is sealed and provides a controlled internal environment for sensitive camera optics and internal electronics. A flush mount window is provided for the front lens of the camera, and a sealed feed-through electronic connector is provided for attachment to external controls. Valves for both adding and removing gasses to/from the chamber are provided. In one embodiment, temperature, pressure and/or humidity sensors may be deployed inside the chamber and connected electronically to a display or computer for monitoring and adjustment. In another embodiment of, a heating element is provided to evaporate moisture from the camera lens and/or from the window, and to help control the temperature inside the chamber.

  • Patent number: 4866408
Abstract: A three phase hermetic protector for electrical apparatus has a pair of terminals extending through a header with first and second elongated heaters mounted on the terminals and extending away from the header. A rigid support is attached to the header between the terminals and extends away from the header and mounts a third elongated heater extending back toward the header. A snap acting disc is cantilever mounted on the free end of the third heater and mounts thereon a pair of movable contacts adapted to move into and out of the engagement with stationary contacts mounted at the free ends of the first and second heaters. The rigid support mounts a calibration screw beneath the free end of each of the first and second heaters to independently adjust the vertical position of the stationary contacts.

  • Patent number: 4590400
Abstract: A cylinder pressure transmitter has means mounting piezoelectric means to provide an electrical signal corresponding to the pressure of a cylinder of an internal combustion engine and has electronic means on the mounting means to amplify the signal for transmission to computer control means for regulating engine operation to improve performance. The electronic means are mounted on an insulating substrate which is secured to a rigid support in a housing. Guide means and locating means provided on the housing and on the mounting means cooperate in mounting the housing on the mounting means and contact means on the piezoelectric and electronic means fit together in an improved manner to provide reliable interconnection between the electronic and piezoelectric means and to retain that interconnection even when subjected to engine vibrations.
