  • Publication number: 20240142036
Abstract: A hinged cover overlays an opening that provides access to a pressurized inversion drum. A releasable latch assembly holds the cover in a closed and locked position. The latch assembly comprises a plurality of first knuckles formed in the cover that are interlaceable with a plurality of second knuckles formed in the body adjacent the opening. The latch assembly further comprises a rotatable latch pin that may be installed within the first and second knuckles. The latch assembly is moved from an unlocked to a locked position by rotation of the latch pin within the knuckles.

  • Publication number: 20040139542
Abstract: Bathing-assist device to assisting a bather to lower himself or herself into a bathtub for bathing and later to lift himself or herself out of the bathtub, directed at persons who cannot otherwise take a bath without outside assistance. The device uses the hydraulic force available from household water pressure and has no electrical aspects. Further, the device includes a support frame from which the various components are suspended, a frame that can be lifted directly onto a bathtub with which the device is to be used, eliminating the need to affix anything to the bathroom walls or to the bathtub itself.

  • Patent number: 5635827
Abstract: A power control system in a DIN rail mount assembly for switching power in a low cost, compact, and solid state for controlling electric heaters. The system can be used for single phase, three phase-two leg, and three phase-three leg. Current switching capabilities range from 30A to 50A. Variable time base, 4-20 mA process control or VAC/DC input contactor configurations can be utilized. The DIN Rail back plate includes a sliding mechanical configuration. A potting fence provides for potting of the electrical substrate and also provides a heat sink. A large cover covers finger palm safer terminals. The DIN rail assembly can also be used for supporting electrical, electromechanical, optical or other types of assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5608929
Abstract: A positioning device for people in hospital beds is disclosed. The device includes a sheet which is placed under the patient. This is connected by rope to an apparatus on the headboard of the bed. Either by the bed's existing motor, or an independent motor, the patient is moved up in bed towards the headboard. This action eliminates the need for two or more people for the job of positioning a person in bed. The chance of an on-the-job injury is also greatly reduced with this positioning aid.

  • Patent number: 5072170
Abstract: AC power loads such as from transformers, motors, high in-rush heaters, air conditioners, etc., are controlled by the use of bipolar transistors, FET transistors, gate turn-off SCRs and IGBT to turn on the load at zero-cross over and to turn off the load at any point in the sine wave which produces the desired amount of power. This reduces RFI and virtually eliminates di/dt at turn on since both voltage and current start at the same zero cross-over, and hence will improve the power factor. Both analogue and digital logic systems can also be utilized to produce this type of phase control, and a wide variety of possibilities are available such as serial and parallel input, the use of full wave bridge control, etc.

  • Patent number: 4894314
Abstract: Photoinitiator compositions are disclosed which contain 3,3'-carbonyl bis(7-diethylaminocoumarin); an alkyl ester of a p-dialkylamino benzoic acid; and either camphorquinone or a 2,4,5-triphenylimidazolyl dimer. Photoinitiators are also provided which contain 3,3'-carbonyl bis(7-diethylaminocoumarin); an alkyl ester of a p-dialkylamino benzoic acid; camphorquinone and a 2,4,5-triphenylimidazolyl dimer. These latter photoinitiators are particularly useful in photopolymerizable compositions which are polymerized by exposure to visible laser light.

  • Patent number: 4636935
Abstract: A solid state control device is disclosed for controlling power turn-on times to process systems such as heaters used in glassmaking, in petrochemical plants, in furnaces, and for electromotive, and other devices.A command signal from the process control is fed to the device in either parallel digital, serial digital, or in analogue form. The command signal is then converted to a binary signal suitable for controlling a phase delay counter. The phase delay counter receives a high frequency clocking signal and produces a very finely divided half cycle output. This provides a line frequency power control signal which is synchronized with command signal. The counter output is fed to gate drivers that actuate a turn-on device such as an SCR or triac to control the process system within a finely divided time period corresponding to a single time division of each half cycle.
