    Abstract: A power delivery system for a surgical robotic movable cart includes a power input configured to receive a first DC electrical signal, a first voltage sense and control circuit coupled to the power input and operable in a primary power mode to output the first DC electrical signal, and a battery configured to output a second DC electrical signal. The system also includes a battery charging circuit configured to receive the first DC electrical signal and to charge the battery, and a second voltage sense and control circuit coupled to the battery and operable in a battery power mode to output the second DC electrical signal. The system further includes a sharing circuit configured to output at least one of the first DC electrical signal from the first voltage sense and control circuit or the second DC electrical signal from the second voltage sense and control circuit.

    Abstract: A surgical robotic system includes a control tower and a mobile cart. The control tower is configured to selectively output power and includes a frequency generator and a converter. The frequency generator is configured to generate an electrical frequency signal and the converter is configured to receive the electrical frequency signal and convert the electrical frequency signal to a first optical signal having a unique identifier frequency. The mobile cart is configured to receive the first optical signal from the control tower and includes an optical splice configured to loop the first optical signal back to the control tower as a second optical signal and deliver the first optical signal to a frequency monitor of the mobile cart.

The control tower also includes a first single mode fiber optic connection and a first optical bulkhead connector coupled to the at least one multimode fiber optic connection and the single mode fiber optic connection. The system also includes a surgeon console having a display configured to display video data, at least one second component configured to transmit and receive the communication data, at least one second multimode fiber optic connection, and a second single mode fiber optic connection. The surgeon console further includes a second optical bulkhead connector coupled to the at least one second multimode fiber optic connection and the second single mode fiber optic connection. The system also includes a main cable coupled to the first optical bulkhead connector and the second optical bulkhead connector.
