  • Patent number: 8738023
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for automatic generation of a location-indicative instruction displayable to one or more users in a communication system which includes a wireless network comprising a plurality of user devices adapted for communication with at least one access point device. A test of a communication link between at least one of the user devices and the access point device is initiated. Based at least in part on a result of the test, an instruction displayable to a user associated with a given one of the user devices is generated, the instruction being indicative of a location at which the given user device is expected to obtain a particular level of data throughput performance.

  • Patent number: 8315567
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for wireless communication between an integrated circuit device and a monitoring station. Each integrated circuit device has one or more antennas that permit wireless communication with an external monitoring station. A signal destined for an integrated circuit device is transmitted by the monitoring station using an associated antenna. An antenna associated with the destination integrated circuit receives the transmitted signal. The antenna(s) may be embodied, for example, as pins that are external to the integrated circuit device, or printed or etched on the integrated circuit device itself. Greater bandwidth can be achieved, if necessary, by pooling the bandwidth of several antennas.

  • Patent number: 8249691
Abstract: A method for converting digital images of an actuated breast into an accurate description of breast surface motion from a digital image-based elasto-tomography system comprises the steps of artificially placing a high density of fiducial markers on the breast surface, whereby the fiducial markers have different qualities and are placed in different proportions according to their quality; utilizing motion invariant properties of the fiducial markers to form a global motion invariant signature; tracking the markers on the actuated breast surface from image to image in each digital camera using the global motion invariant signature; and using the cameras calibration to measure the breast surface motion.

  • Publication number: 20120084212
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments allow a user to request new product designs and design changes remotely. The requested design or change is then submitted to a network-based automated process. The process may be remotely accessed by the user through a network connection. In one embodiment, the user may meet directly with a customer, pull up the specifications for the product in question, select a design or change desired by the customer, and submit the design or change. The process works in the background to validate the requested design according to one or more validation rules and/or best practices, and completes many of the necessary tasks to allow the requested design to proceed to manufacturing. Once the process has successfully completed the requested change, a notification is sent to the user containing information about the new or changed product, such as the new part number, order number, and the like.
