  • Publication number: 20230104646
Abstract: First signaling indicative of instructions to enter a self-refresh (SREF) mode can be received concurrently by a plurality of memory dies. Responsive to a memory die of the plurality of memory dies entering the SREF mode, self-refreshing of memory banks of the memory die can be delayed, at the memory die and based on fuse states of an array of fuses of the memory die, an amount of time relative to receipt of the signaling by the memory die. Delaying self-refreshing of memory banks of memory dies in a staggered, or asynchronous, manner can evenly distribute power consumption of the memory dies so that the likelihood of an associated power spike is reduced or eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20230105256
Abstract: A rotatable element sensor arrangement includes a home position sensor, magnetic field-type rotation sensor arrangement, and sensor arrangement controller. The home position sensor produces a home position signal in response to a sensor position alignment with a home position feature as the rotatable element rotates about an axis of rotation. The home position feature is at a known angular orientation on the rotatable element relative to game symbol positions of the rotatable element, while the sensor position is located at a known angular orientation relative to a stationary evaluation position. The magnetic field-type rotation sensor arrangement produces a rotation signal to provide an indication of rotational angle of the rotating element along each rotation. The sensor arrangement controller receives the home position signal and rotation signal and produces a sensor arrangement output indicative of a position of the series of game symbol positions relative to the evaluation position.

  • Publication number: 20230107272
Abstract: A control application of a media playback system controls playback of media content by a media playback system. The application receives, from a media streaming service, a page object that identifies (i) a page format identifier, (ii) page content data, (iii) a set of page elements, and (iv) a respective element format identifier for each page element of the set of page elements. The application determines a first set of formatting rules using the page format identifier and displays a corresponding page that includes the page content data formatted using the first set of formatting rules. The application asynchronously receives media content data identifying media content available for streaming. Based on a respective element format identifier of the page element associated with the media content data, the application determines a second set of formatting rules, which the application uses to update the displayed page to display the media content data.

  • Publication number: 20230104691
Abstract: A passively Q-switched laser with intracavity pumping is described. The passively Q-switched laser has an optically pumped gain element and a saturable absorber element. The optically pumped gain element is situated in an extended cavity of a VECSEL (Vertical Extended Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) so that the gain element is pumped by a circulating pump beam of the VECSEL. The passively Q-switched laser may produce output pulses at an eye-safe wavelength using a low gain laser transition and may use a plurality of surface emitting gain regions to pump the passively Q-switched laser.

  • Patent number: 11619583
Abstract: Building blocks are provided for on-chip chemical sensors and other highly-compact photonic integrated circuits combining interband or quantum cascade lasers and detectors with passive waveguides and other components integrated on a III-V or silicon. A MWIR or LWIR laser source is evanescently coupled into a passive extended or resonant-cavity waveguide that provides evanescent coupling to a sample gas (or liquid) for spectroscopic chemical sensing. In the case of an ICL, the uppermost layer of this passive waveguide has a relatively high index of refraction that enables it to form the core of the waveguide, while the ambient air, consisting of the sample gas, functions as the top cladding layer. A fraction of the propagating light beam is absorbed by the sample gas if it contains a chemical species having a fingerprint absorption feature within the spectral linewidth of the laser emission.
