  • Publication number: 20200218577
Abstract: A method includes receiving a plurality of data processing requests and assigning each data processing request to a group based on the source of the data. The method further includes generating a primary processing stack indicating a queue for processing the first data, wherein: the primary processing stack comprises a plurality of layers; each layer comprises a plurality of slices, wherein each slice represents a portion of the first data of at least one data processing request; and the plurality of slices are arranged within each layer based at least on the priority indicator corresponding to the first data that each slice represents. The method further includes receiving resource information about a plurality of servers, assigning each slice of the primary processing stack to one of the servers, and sending processing instructions comprising an identification of each slice of the primary processing stack assigned to the respective server.

  • Publication number: 20200206442
Abstract: A conduit for communicating a flow of breathing gas from a pressure generating device to the airway of a patient. The conduit includes a first end which is structured to be coupled to the pressure generating device for receiving the flow of breathing gas and an opposite second end which is structured to be coupled to a patient interface device. The conduit further includes an active control element positioned at or near the second end; a first heating wire connected between the active control element and a first connection terminal positioned at or about the first end; and a second heating wire connected between the active control element and a second connection terminal positioned at or about the first end. Each of the first and second connection terminals are structured to be connected to a tube power supply.

  • Publication number: 20200082714
Abstract: A feature-rich, improved vehicle traffic signal control system that uses network technology is provided herein. For example, the improved vehicle traffic signal control system may include a control box and light heads that include processors. The control box in the improved vehicle traffic signal control system may include fewer components and/or fewer wires extending therefrom as compared to a typical control box. In particular, the control box in the improved vehicle traffic signal control system may not include relays, a conflict monitor, or other similar components. Rather, the improved control box may simply include a controller that is coupled to various light heads via Ethernet cables. The Ethernet cables can carry electrical power, thereby providing power to the light heads. The light head processors can use network technology to control light activation, to perform conflict monitoring, to receive data from various sensors to adjust traffic flow, etc.

  • Patent number: 10478871
Abstract: A side-opening sleeve valve having an inner barrel with a shaped opening through its cylindrical wall having a longer size along the axis of the inner barrel, and a co-annular outer barrel having shaped opening through its cylindrical wall having a longer size along the axis of the outer barrel. The inner barrel is rotatable relative to the outer barrel between a first open position where the shaped openings overlap to form a side opening into the sleeve valve, and a second closed position where the shaped openings do not overlap. The side opening has an effective axial opening size and an effective lateral opening size in a ratio of at least about 2:1. The side-opening valve is useful with water-less toilet that can empty into the side-opening valve when opened, and when closed, a pigging fluid flush system pushes the waste in the side-opening valve to a sewage system.

  • Publication number: 20190306082
Abstract: Systems and methods for allocating resources. The system includes a communications module, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores a data record and instructions that, when executed, configure the processor to obtain a data record and transmit an existing score indication corresponding to the data record for display at the client device; receive a first time parameter and an action indicator associated with a shared resource and, in response, determine a first provisional score corresponding to the data record based on the existing score indication, the action indicator, and the first time parameter to provide a first provisional score indication; transmit the first provisional score indication and a selectable option associated with the action indicator for display at the client device while the first provisional score indication is displayed; and in response to receiving a resource transfer instruction, allocate the shared resource associated with the action indicator.

  • Publication number: 20190235886
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for monitoring a video are provided. For example, the video may be rendered within a canvas overlaying a webpage within a web browser. The video may comprise an opaque portion (e.g., a bike) and a transparent portion (e.g., a transparent background such that the bike appears to be driving across the webpage as the video plays). User input associated with the canvas may be evaluated to determine whether the user input occurs over the opaque portion or the transparent portion. Responsive to the user input occurring over the opaque portion, the web browser may be transitioned from the webpage to a biking website linked to by the video. Responsive to the user input occurring over the transparent portion, the canvas may be closed to terminate the video.

  • Patent number: 10092888
Abstract: A linear reciprocating actuator for mixing, agitating, separation, continuous sampling and/or harvesting or filtration, gas mixing, and various other applications. The actuator may have a housing closed on one end, and attached to a vessel in a hermetically-sealed manner such that it is part of the fluidic envelope of the vessel. An agitation device may be attached to a shaft which is partially surrounded by the housing, or the agitation device may surround the housing where the housing protrudes into the vessel. The actuator enables agitation of the contents of a hermetically-sealed vessel without mechanical coupling from outside the fluidic envelope of the process. The agitation device is solely acted upon by a magnetic field, is contained entirely within the fluidic envelope of the process, and is not attached to the vessel in any way. The magnetic flux which drives the agitation device passes through the housing.
