  • Publication number: 20090248399
Abstract: A system, method and computer program products for facilitating the automated reading, disambiguation, analysis, indexing, retrieval and scoring of text by utilizing emotional intelligence-based factors. Text quality is scored based upon character development, rhythm, per-page quality, gaps, and climaxes, among other factors. The scores may be standardized by subtracting the population mean from an individual raw score and then dividing the difference by the population standard deviation.

  • Publication number: 20080189268
Abstract: An automatic matching mechanism includes a method for mapping a unit of content to other units of content. The method includes a host display sending a request for guest content. The method may also include: querying a category content index for the guest content and providing indexed and categorized content that corresponds to the request, providing the indexed and categorized content for display in response to determining the indexed and categorized content is not either new content or updated content, and displaying the categorized content on a host display. The automatic matching mechanism may include a method for generating matching guest content for a host display. The method includes: sending a guest request to preview matched content and querying a category content index for the guest matched content, gathering category related semantic content information from a semantic content index, and reporting categorized matching content that matches the guest request.

  • Publication number: 20070294229
Abstract: A method and system for iteratively searching large amounts of data in response to a user request by traversing a conversational scaffold and producing a document set in response to the request, producing category descriptors for the document set, transmitting the category descriptors to a chatterbot response composer for producing a chatterbot response, and providing the response to the user.

  • Publication number: 20070294200
Abstract: A method and system for automatic data categorization in response to a user query. A document set is retrieved in response to the user query. A semantic parser parses the document set and produces semantic term-groups by parsing a semantic network of nodes. A seed ranker produces a plurality of advantageously spaced semantic seeds based on the semantic term-groups. A category accumulator stores the advantageously spaced semantic seeds. The semantic network of nodes is augmented with the advantageously spaced semantic seeds.

  • Patent number: 6778970
Abstract: A system and methods for enforcing uniform branching of node-to-node inheritance links within semantic networks, to control data flows to and from such networks in conversational applications. Enforced uniform branching criteria converge the population of directly connected nodes of each node toward a small system-wide constant, and converge each sibling inheritance node to a similar level of abstractness, and are also used to select the best candidate tree from a set of competing representation trees within the semantic network. Uniform branching criteria are applied to competing trees for speech recognition, for object recognition in vision systems, for concept recognition in text scanning systems, and for algorithm definition. For speech recognition, phonemes are identified and matched to dictionary nodes in the semantic network. For visual object recognition, object features are identified and matched. For text scanning, words are identified and matched.

  • Patent number: 6595815
Abstract: Watercrafts comprising rotatable hulls that serve as propulsors. The hulls are rotors with paddle surfaces and are arranged three-dimensionally to gain the capability of actively diverting water toward the side and the rear, for the purpose of drastically reducing frontal drag and the capability of minimizing friction drag on their wetted surfaces. Watercrafts with rotatable hulls are essentially amphibious.
