Disclosed computer-implemented systems and methods may include a dark source that when applied as part of an augmented reality projector, can temporarily reduce the photosensitivity of a user's eyes. Furthermore, a method for forming a lens block over a substrate and hardening the lens block and a method for motion-tolerant optical heart-rate monitoring can be disclosed herein for optical systems.
