  • Publication number: 20070236504
Abstract: The Intelligent Graphics Plug Map System automatically converts plug maps into Intelligent Graphics with intelligent behaviors. The electronic trouble shooting system enables users to easily navigate large quantities of interrelated data and accurately analyze how each plug is used. The system automatically integrates additional information such as the function of each contact, what signals are connected to the contact, and what tools and processes are required to repair or test electrical circuitry. The system provides an Intelligent Plug Map Recognizer that associates a correct contact label for each contact associated with a plug map file defining a plug map; an HTML Generator that generates an HTML file for the plug map; a CGM4 File Builder that generates an intelligent plug map file from the plug map file; and a technical data system application that synchronizes plug map views when a contact associated with the plug map is identified.

  • Publication number: 20070064013
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for converting raster illustrated parts images into intelligent vector-layered files. The method involves recognizing and removing reference labels from the raster illustrated parts image to produce a reference label scrubbed file. Reference lines are recognized and removed from the reference label scrubbed file to produce a scrubbed file. The scrubbed file includes a reusable base graphic. The scrubbed file is converted to a vector file in which the reusable base graphic is embedded. One or more vector layers are added to the vector file to produce the intelligent vector-layered file. Each vector layer includes vector elements corresponding to one of the recognized reference labels and its one or more reference lines.

  • Publication number: 20060214947
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product identify a first drawing comprising a number of graphical objects, display the first drawing, identify a second drawing comprising a number of graphical objects, determine the differences between the graphical objects of the first drawing and the corresponding graphical objects of the second drawing, and thereafter change the display of the graphical objects of the first drawing which are different in the second drawing. Any number of drawings may be identified and compared, and the differences from the preceding drawings may be displayed. Each difference from one drawing to the next represents the occurrence of an event in a system. As the display of the graphical objects is changed, the flow of events within the system is illustrated.

  • Publication number: 20050154558
Abstract: The method, system and computer program product for discovering a direction of flow through at least a portion of the components represented in the sheets of a drawing set includes providing an electronic representation of the sheets of the drawing set, automatically reviewing at least one sheet of the drawing set, including automatically recognizing at least one flow-related reference depicted in the sheets of the drawing set, determining a direction of flow through at least a portion of the components based upon at least one flow-related reference, and creating flow information associated with the electronic representation of the sheets of the drawing set that includes the direction of flow through at least a portion of the components. The electronic representation of the direction of flow through the portion of the components also may be viewed.

  • Publication number: 20050114096
Abstract: The method, system and computer program product for automatically generating a subset of components include receiving a request to generate a subset of components, accessing connectivity data that includes information regarding at least the components and connections among the components, and automatically selecting portions of the connectivity data that satisfy the request to generate the subset of components. The subset may then be used to generate a diagram of the subset of components from the portions of the connectivity data that satisfy the request. Thus, the method, system and computer program product are capable of efficiently creating subsets/families of components from electronic schematic diagrams because the portions of connectivity data that satisfy a request for a subset of components are automatically selected and a diagram of the selected components may be automatically generated.
