  • Patent number: 9138773
Abstract: The terry cloth with impregnated rubber substrate and tool for application thereon includes a roller having a plurality of spur members equally spaced thereon, and which are ideal in distribution of a rubber solution into the individual loops of a terry cloth. The formation of a rubber substrate into the individual loops of a terry cloth provides for traction of said terry cloth upon smooth surfaces. The spur members are discs that have a plurality of fingers that extend laterally to opposing sides, which manages and spreads a rubber solution into the individual loops of a single side of the terry cloth. Moreover, the tool does not saturate the rubber solution through the base and the opposing side of loops of said terry cloth. Upon application of the rubber solution onto the side of the terry cloth, the individual loops are vertically orientated and individually coated.

  • Publication number: 20070036633
Abstract: The screw has two or three non-circular super-imposed recesses. The depth of each recess is less than 1.2 mm and there is a less than 1° of draw in each recess. The screw head recess is formed using a punch (10) in a cold-heading process. The punch is formed in a profilating CNC machine, cutting the profiles (12, 14, 16) of the punch to a tolerance of better than ±0.025 mm. A method of manufacture of a cold-forming punch for such a screw comprises providing a profilating head as one of the tools on a turret mounted adjacent the chuck in the CNC machine. The profilating head has several cutting elements, each being adjustable with respect to one another: axially, radially and angularly.

  • Publication number: 20060262322
Abstract: A combination interferometer (ifo) inspection device is provided which includes a Twyman-Green (T-G) ifo optically coupled to a Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) ifo. MEMS and MOEMS versions permit substantial reduction in size and weight to permit permanently embedding an inspection device into an optical system which permits remote and automated inspection and/or adjustment of the optical system. The inspection device permits use of different coherence length light sources and receipt of an output signal from an optical system. The addition of the T-G ifo to the M-Z ifo aids pinhole alignment and general alignment to the optical system under test, as well as inspection with long coherence sources, while the addition of the M-Z ifo permits measurement with long or short coherence sources, allows measurement of the output beam, and permits the system to operate in a receive-only mode with an external source.
