Abstract: Provided for separating polymer from a slurry comprising polymer and unreacted carrier fluid is (a) a method comprising supplying slurry to a first heating means to increase the temperature of the slurry, using a first separator means to extract a portion of unreacted carrier fluid from the slurry to obtain a slurry enriched in polymer, supplying the enriched slurry to a second heating means to increase the temperature of the enriched slurry, and using a second separator means to extract an additional portion of unreacted carrier fluid from the enriched slurry to obtain a further enriched slurry, and (b) an apparatus comprising a first heating means, a first separator means, a second heating means and a second separator means.

Abstract: A method to dynamically generate a topic audience for a primary user to participate therein is disclosed. The topic audience is defined by users interested in a same discussion topic of a plurality of discussion topics within an electronic discussion group, the topic audience having a size value defined by a number of users interested in the same topic. The method includes specifying a target topic of discussion including a first topic audience defined by users interested in the target topic, searching the plurality of discussion topics, identifying a set of topics related to the target topic, making available to the primary user for selection the set of topics related to the target topic, and expanding the first topic audience to be defined by a second user interested in the selected topic.

Abstract: A system and method for generating high-function browser widgets with full addressability are provided. With the system and method, custom JSP tags are utilized that generate JavaScript objects to provide the high-function browser widgets. The JavaScript objects, in turn, output HTML for use by a client side Web browser. These JavaScript objects have instance-level functions or actions that are encapsulated in the widget as well as a complete client-side model representation of the data also encapsulated in the widget object. These objects and actions are fully addressable by the developer via a getWidgetByID method on a global utility object. As a result, higher-level features and full inter-widget communication are achievable using the custom JSP tags of the present invention.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of separating unreacted monomer from a polymerization process effluent stream. The polymerization process effluent stream has at least the following components: unreacted monomer, polymer, and solid fines. The method comprises passing the effluent stream through one or more filters disposed within a vessel at a pressure of from about 150 psig to about 400 psig and thereby obtaining a stream of vapor containing less than about 0.5 weight percent solid fines.

Abstract: This invention concerns using an intermediate grade propylene stream as feed to a polypropylene forming reaction system. The intermediate grade propylene stream is preferably recovered form the olefin product of an oxygenate to olefins reaction process, and low in dimethyl ether content.

Abstract: A shelter for the bed of a pick-up truck is disclosed, which includes a first and second removable rectangular bed lid, and two or more lid braces. Each lid has a hinge connection to a respective sidewall. The lids cover the truck bed when closed and when open each of the lids are supported in the open horizontal position by at least one of the two or more braces. A tent is mounted between the open first and second lids and is erected over the open lids and the truck bed to form a shelter. The lid braces extend between one of the open bed lids and the truck bed and each, alone or in combination with other bed lids, provides sufficient support so that a person can safely sleep on the open lid. The tent is attached to the lids by a “rope girt” arrangement. The shelter can also include an inflatable tube construction that is positioned with the tent to inflate and erect the tent.

Abstract: A drive system for a boat having a hull with an inboard motor and two spaced drive units mounted in the hull, including a dual drive package having a housing with first and second output shafts mounted in bearings in the housing and an input shaft mounted in bearings in the housing between the output shafts, first and second drive chain sprockets mounted on and spaced axially along the input shaft, a third drive chain sprocket mounted on the first output shaft, a fourth drive chain sprocket mounted on the second output shaft, a first drive chain coupling the first and third sprockets, a second drive chain coupling the second and fourth sprockets, and arrangements for connecting the input shaft to the motor and each of the output shafts to a respective drive unit. The drive system may further include first and second torque limiters for connecting between the respective drive units.

Abstract: A device for blocking high frequency noise components present in the ground circuits of digital devices from transmission to the amplification devices of an audio system comprises a conductive enclosure having input leads for connection to the positive and ground circuits of a digital device and an external output receptacle. An inductor within the enclosure is in series connection between the input ground lead and an output wire and filters the high frequency noise. An androgenous jack coupled to the ground lead couples the positive circuit and the filtered ground circuit to the amplifier.

Abstract: A power strip for use in high definition audio and video systems employing a device having a digital switching source is disclosed. The power strip includes a first receptacle for the digital source employing capacitors for shunting to ground high frequency products at the digital receptacle. The strip includes additional receptacles for non-digital devices, the additional receptacles being isolated from the digital receptacle by series inductances and also being isolated from ground.

Abstract: A sterilizing tray for holding objects while they are being sterilized in a sterilizing solution. At least one end of the sterilizing tray is equipped with a top pivoting end door whose latch can be released by tipping the end of the sterilizing tray against the work surface. Once the latch is released, the weight of sterilized objects in the tipped sterilizing tray pushes the end door open, thereby depositing the sterilized objects neatly on the work surface without their ever having been touched by the user.

Abstract: A molded, one-piece plastic dental treatment tray for applying fluoride or other medication to a patient's teeth. The tray has a pair of elongated locking flanges on one of its handles which engage the lateral edges of the other of its handles to hold the tray folded up with its two teeth receiving troughs in an aligned, assembled relationship. At least one of the handles is molded at an angle with respect to the bottom of its trough to help ensure that when the tray is folded up, the free ends of its troughs are urged into contact with each other, to enable the tray to be inserted more easily into the patient's mouth. The bottoms of the troughs are flat and smooth enough for them to move easily over each other in any direction while in the patient's mouth, so the tray will better accommodate any individual differences in the mouth, jaws or teeth of the particular patient.

Abstract: A mechanism for producing a multiple number of drum beats from a single downward depression of a drum foot pedal. A slipping linkage is utilized to produce multiple oscillations of a shaft member during the continuous downward motion of the drum pedal. The drum mallet is attached to the oscillatory shaft and therefore produces a number of beats for each foot pedal depression.

Each shaped part is then secured to a separate plate having recesses to match the projections and to secure the part to the plate. The plates, with mounted parts, are then secured to a base plate; with the plate holding one of the parts longitudinally adjustably with respect to the base plate.
