  • Patent number: 8460133
Abstract: A tennis net center strap created for the professional level that quickly measures and secures the center of any tennis net to the regulation (currently 36 inches) height above the court surface. The strap is made of non-stretch material woven with specific material to insure strength and durability. There is a discrete measuring system built into the strap that sets any net, on any court to the correct regulation height in seconds without the use of external measuring devices. It incorporates a simple internal multi-fastening system that meets the needs of the professional tour level, while locking in the correct height, and guaranteeing no deviation or slippage. One end of the strap has a non-rust alloy, nickel plated tab (with an extra protective coating) to insure a finite measuring point that will not fray or deteriorate in weather. The strap is held onto the net via a non-rust nickel plated swivel snap clip with a two inch loop eye on one end.

  • Patent number: 6955617
Abstract: A tennis net strap designed for professional tour-level applications that both measures and securely holds center of tennis net at regulation height above court is described. Strap is of minimally stretching material and employs “hidden” buckle system and hook and loop swatches. A sewn measuring mark indicates when strap is fastened at correct height. On measurement end of strap, a tab keeps strap end clean and from fraying. A single-end snap clip anchors strap to court. Both sides of the installed strap are fastened together through net to integrate strap with net and avoid false “let” calls made by electronic vibration or optical monitors. All fasteners are internal to the installed strap; no distracting buckles are visible, so the appearance of the strap is that of a clean, white line.

  • Patent number: 6868619
Abstract: A tennis net strap that both measures and holds center of tennis net at regulation height above court is described. Strap is of minimally stretching material and employs cam buckle with preferably a short secondary strap with hook-and-loop material as back up security measure. On opposite end of strap from buckle, a metal tab keeps strap end clean and from fraying. A single-end snap clip anchors strap to court. A primary measuring mark is located on strap near tab, which is aligned with slot in cam buckle to ensure strap is fastened at correct length. With cam buckle closed, strap is rotated until secondary mark on strap 36 inches from end of metal tab aligns with top of net, with tab just touching court surface. A third security measure is preferably employed in which now aligned areas on both sides of installed strap are fastened together through net.
