  • Publication number: 20160132804
Abstract: Systems and methods for continuously planning maintenance of enterprise equipment are provided. Draft forecasts relating to projects in an infrastructure are generated by a computer system. A first user (U1) selects a draft forecast and submits it for approval. The computer system adds the submitted forecast to a submitted scenario. A second user (U2) approves or rejects the submitted forecast for inclusion in a master scenario. The second user may modify the submitted forecast. The system permits continuous planning of projects to maintain an enterprise infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 8032824
Abstract: A system and methods for comparing two documents comprising graphic elements is described. Attributes of graphic elements amongst the two documents are examined to identify sufficiently similar graphic elements. A merged document can be automatically produced based on the comparison. The merged document advantageously preserves the investment made in modifying a first document during a production phase. A means for viewing the comparison results and overriding the automatically generated merge actions is provided.

  • Patent number: 7925969
Abstract: A system and methods for comparing a plurality of documents comprising graphic elements is described. Attributes of graphic elements amongst the documents are examined to identify sufficiently similar graphic elements. A merged document can be automatically produced based on the comparison. Graphic elements in the resulting document may be associated with a document layer. Methods may advantageously be applied to a plurality of documents representing different versions of a document.

  • Patent number: 7747951
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing existing layouts of content comprising common and variant content are described. They involve automatically converting content into a layered version document, checking variant content for conditions which could have an undesirable impact on a rendered image, and automatically modifying variant content to reduce the potential for undesirable impacts on a rendered image.

  • Patent number: 7694217
Abstract: A system and methods for comparing graphic elements in a changed document to those in a reference document is described. Attributes of selected graphic elements are first adjusted before comparing so that comparing does not identify certain document changes.

  • Publication number: 20090034008
Abstract: A method for generating a stochastic halftone screen (32) includes a parameterized screen generator (31) whose parameters (15) control aspects of the generated screen (32). Some parameters (15) control the size of a generated threshold array (300). A variety of threshold array sizes can be generated quickly including larger arrays (300) wherein the generation time is proportional to the natural logarithm of the threshold array size. Some parameters control a set of shaping functions used to determine the distribution of minority pixels (302) for a wide variety of printing conditions. These include controls for edge-to-area ratio, cluster size, anticipated dot gain and modeled human visual response.

  • Publication number: 20090034006
Abstract: A method for processing an image includes a screen generator (31) which allows a user to define parameters (15) that determine the characteristics of a stochastic halftone screen (32). The screen generator (31) dynamically generates the screen (32) prior to an image processor (20) producing halftone image data (24) from the screen (32) and a supplied image (11). The screen generator (31) is based on an efficient parameterized algorithm whose parameters are selected to allow a user to easily customize a screen (32) that is suited for one of a wide range of reproduction processes.

  • Publication number: 20040075699
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for highlighting one or more selected objects in a raster image. A rasterizer renders base graphics data containing a plurality of graphic objects to produce a base graphic raster. When a user selects object(s), selection graphic data is generated. The selection graphic data includes a selected graphic object corresponding to the object(s) to be highlighted in the base graphic data. The rasterizer renders the selection graphics data to yield a selection graphic raster. The selection graphic raster and the base graphic raster are composited to yield a graphic raster for display wherein the selected object(s) are highlighted.
