  • Patent number: 9538138
Abstract: A system for providing access to shared multimedia content within a defined room environment includes a hub and a plurality of remote connection devices. The hub, configured to provide a wireless network having a frequency of 60 GHz and compatible with the IEEE 802.11ad protocol, delivers the wireless network via a plurality of radio transceivers and has at least one local device connection. The local device connection includes an interface to an associated wide area network.

  • Patent number: 8274928
Abstract: A wireless mesh network where a portion of the nodes have reduced receive sensitivity. The negative effects of the density of the wireless mesh network, such as interference, are reduced when fewer nodes receive messages to rebroadcast. In an alternative embodiment, some of the nodes of the mesh network are configured to not rebroadcast even if they receive a message. A method for configuring a dense mesh network is also provided. As many nodes as possible are discovered and registered in the network. Node characteristics of those nodes are adjusted to reduce or eliminate the negative effects of the dense mesh network so that additional nodes may be discovered and registered.

  • Publication number: 20100204847
Abstract: A wireless infrastructure network system (100) includes one or more first wireless transceivers (107) for communicating data through the wireless mesh network such that the first wireless transceivers (107) act solely to transmit and receive data. The mesh network system further includes one or more second wireless transceivers (101) for communicating data through the wireless mesh network system (100) such that the second wireless transceivers (101) are each integrated with an overhead task light (201). Operation of the overhead task light (201) is controlled through the wireless network enabling each individual overhead task light (201) to be easily controlled without the need for extensive control wiring to be added to each of the second wireless transceivers.

  • Publication number: 20090315668
Abstract: A power and control system for minimizing home-run power lines to fixtures located throughout a building and wirelessly controlling fixtures according to zones defined irrespective of their wiring. Less “pipe and box” is necessary when branch circuits are not used to define zones. A building may be wired in order to minimize costs, while increasing flexibility and reliability by implementing wireless zone control.
