  • Patent number: 7371999
Abstract: A temperature changing apparatus including a chamber defining a cavity is configured to receive a food product therein. A radially exhausting fan disposed in the cavity circulates air in the cavity over the food product. An air deflector disrupts the air radially exhausted from the fan.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6909070
Abstract: A steamer apparatus for steaming bread-type food products includes a housing defining a steam chamber having a heated platen therein. A water conduit delivers water onto the heated platen to convert the water into steam in the steam chamber. The water in the conduit is preheated by the heated platen, itself, prior to delivering the water to the heated platen.

  • Patent number: 6871377
Abstract: A grill scraper is provided for scraping the surface of a cooking grill or the like. The scraper includes an elongated frame defining a longitudinal axis which extends between a front head end of the frame and a rear handle end of the frame. A blade head is mounted at the head end of the frame for mounting a scraping blade thereon. A first handle is mounted at the handle end of the frame and extends downwardly therefrom. A second handle is mounted on the frame rearwardly of the head end but remote from the first handle.

  • Patent number: 6520380
Abstract: A liquid dispenser is provided for dispensing either one or both of two liquid products and includes a housing defining two liquid reservoirs. Two pump assemblies are respectively mounted in the liquid reservoirs for incrementally feeding two different liquid products out of two respective discharge outlets. Two operating levers are articulatably mounted on the housing and are respectively operatively associated with the two pump assemblies. One lever is effective to dispense one liquid product. The second lever is effective to dispense the second liquid product. The second lever is selectively operatively associated with the first lever to dispense both liquid products.

  • Patent number: 5852967
Abstract: A food treatment system having a frame, a receptacle having a peripheral wall defining a space for storage of a food item and an opening through which a food item can be introduced to the storage space, and a conditioning source for changing the state of fluid in the food treatment space defined by the frame. The frame has a first wall against which the receptacle bears with the receptacle in an operative position with respect to the frame. The frame has a second wall which is spaced from the first wall so that the first and second walls cooperatively define the food treatment space. The second wall at least partially blocks the receptacle opening with the receptacle in the operative position. At least one of the first and second walls is movable relative to the other of the first and second walls to vary the spacing between the first and second walls.

  • Patent number: 5421481
Abstract: A self-biasing system for articles has an article support, a frame for controlling the movement of the support and a biasing structure capable of moving the support. The system can be a self-leveling article dispenser with the frame including elongate channel members. The channel members define an elongated cavity capable of receiving articles to be dispensed. A platform is slidably received in the cavity. A plate has one part of a reversibly extensible structure secured thereto. A flexible line has a segment secured to the platform and the linear movement thereof is controlled by a guide on the plate and a guide associated with the frame.

  • Patent number: 4738534
Abstract: A vertical beam spectrophotometer for measuring the light absorption of an assay prepared using standard wet chemistry procedures and conventional solid phase coated bead technology is disclosed. The spectrophotometer measures the absorption of the assay in a conventional reaction cuvette with the bead remaining in the cuvette. The light source of the spectrophotometer illuminates the bead, which diffuses the light into the surrounding assay solution. A lense projects the diffused light onto a photocell which converts it into an electrical signal having magnitude related to the light absorption of the assay. The signal is processed in a known manner by conventional processing circuitry to obtain an absorption value.
