Abstract: Techniques for live location sharing are described. A first mobile device and a second mobile device can communicate with one another using an IM program. The first mobile device can receive a user input to share a location of the first mobile device in the IM program. Sharing the location can include causing the second mobile device to display a location of the first mobile device in an IM program user interface on the second mobile device. Duration of sharing the location can be user-configurable. The second mobile device may or may not share a location of the second device for display in the IM program executing on the first mobile device.

Abstract: An alarm system includes a monitoring component configured to detect a danger in a dwelling, and an alert component that includes an array of vibration devices placed throughout the dwelling. Each of the array of vibration devices are configured to provide a tactile alert in response to a detection of the danger in the dwelling. In another aspect, an alarm system includes a monitoring component configured to detect a ventilation-related danger in a building, and a mitigation component configured to open at least one of a door or a window in the building automatically in response to a detection of the ventilation-related danger. The adaptor may connect a cash drawer to a point of sale (POS) terminal. The adaptor may include allow for an input signal to be received from the cash drawer. The type of cash drawer can be identified based on the input signal. An output signal operative to open the cash drawer can be generated and transmitted to the cash drawer to open the cash drawer.
