Abstract: An illuminated magnetic retrieval apparatus includes an illumination module which includes a handle portion which houses a battery power supply and which houses illumination circuit means powered by the battery power supply. A flexible optical fiber light conveyance is connected to the handle portion for receiving light from the illumination circuit means. The illumination circuit means include an illumination actuation switch and a light source operated by the illumination actuation switch. The handle portion further includes a housing-mounted electrical connector and an electromagnet actuation switch that is electrically connected to the housing-mounted electrical connector. An electromagnetic retrieval module is connected to the illumination module with cap-shaped handle connection means. The electromagnetic retrieval module also includes a flexible tube for jacketing the flexible optical fiber light conveyance.

Abstract: A toilet plunger apparatus includes a handle and an air compression/expansion bellows portion connected to the handle. The bellows portion includes a distal end. A substantially rigid offset-angle adapter is connected to the bellows distal end. The offset-angle adapter includes a first adapter arm portion having a first arm outer diameter and a second adapter arm portion having a second arm outer diameter. The second adapter arm portion includes an open distal arm portion end. The second arm outer diameter is less than the first arm outer diameter, and the second adapter arm portion is oriented with respect to the first adapter arm portion at an arm-to-arm offset angle which is preferably, approximately 135 angular degrees. An adapter kit having an offset-angle adapter in accordance with the invention can be provided for retrofitting a conventional bellows-type toilet plunger.

Abstract: A glass frit is prepared by heating an initial glass frit in the presence of a reducing agent so as to reduce metal moiety in the glass structure of the frit and then cooling the reaction mixture. Preferably, the frit prepared is used in a method of forming electrically conducting silver tracks on enamel on glass windows, by applying to window glass an enamel composition containing the frit and on top thereof a silver composition in the shape of the tracks and firing the compositions, such that on the firing the reduced metal moiety reduces silver ions migrating through the enamel composition from the silver composition to elemental silver and thereby prevents or impairs them from interacting with the glass to form visible tracks.
