Patent number: 9933000Abstract: A piece of furniture includes a rectangular frame for supporting a plurality of sinuous springs. A plurality of clip assemblies are secured to opposed side walls of the frame. Each clip assembly comprises a metallic clip having tabs for holding a plastic liner inside a curved portion of the clip assembly. Each clip assembly also has a detent which inhibits movement of the sinuous spring and has tacks for insertion into the frame. Flexible connectors may be located in grooves of the clip assembly to collate multiple clip assemblies.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2015Date of Patent: April 3, 2018Assignee: L&P Property Management CompanyInventors: Lawrence J. Publication number: 20180038403Abstract: A piece of furniture includes a rectangular frame for supporting a plurality of sinuous springs. A plurality of clip assemblies are secured to opposed side walls of frame. Each clip assembly comprises at least two metal fasteners, each having a generally planar head and a shank for insertion into the frame. The generally planar head of each metal fastener is encased by plastic of a non-metallic piece. The non-metallic piece has a hook to secure one end of a sinuous wire. Connectors may be formed with the plastic or non-metallic pieces to join multiple clip assemblies.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2017Publication date: February 8, 2018Inventors: Lawrence J. Patent number: 9592595Abstract: A tool for securing items together closes C-rings to create hog rings. A drive mechanism allows the tool be used continuously for a greater length of time than heretofore possible without inserting a new string of C-rings. The drive mechanism utilizes one-way clutch bearings to provide a ratchet-like mechanism. Each time a trigger on the tool is pulled, a C-ring is closed and another C-ring is advanced to a position in which it may be closed by the same jaws. A pneumatic system moves a piston inside a cylinder to move the C-rings along a magazine towards the jaws.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2014Date of Patent: March 14, 2017Assignee: L&P Property Management CompanyInventor: Lawrence J.
