  • Publication number: 20230187953
Abstract: A power equipment battery terminal fixing apparatus is disclosed and can include a housing including a frame and a connector biased away from the frame by a spring device. A battery case can be configured to slide into the frame of the housing along a sliding axis. The battery case can include a notch located at a bottom surface of the battery case and configured to receive the connector from the housing therein. The connector can include electrical contacts and alignment elements on a first side of the connector, and the spring device can be located at a second side of the connector opposite the first side of the connector. The alignment elements can prevent movement of the connector with respect to the battery case in a transverse and a vertical direction.

  • Publication number: 20230180658
Abstract: A battery system for a power equipment apparatus including a battery, a first latch and a second latch. The first latch and the second latch can be movable between a locked position where the first and second latches are configured to engage with a mating structure of the apparatus and a released position where the first and second latches are disengaged from the apparatus. A gearing assembly can be attached to the battery and driving one of the first latch and the second latch between the locked position and the released position. A spring can engage the first latch and the second latch, the spring biasing the first latch and the second latch toward the locked position.

  • Publication number: 20230172103
Abstract: A storage lock assembly for a lawn mower can include a primary pedal, a lock striker, a secondary pedal, and a deck lock that can be manipulated to selectively lock a mower deck into a stowed position and unlock the deck from the stowed position. The primary pedal can move the deck between a plurality of operating positions and the stowed position. The secondary pedal can include an engagement member and be pivotably attached to the primary pedal. The deck lock can be movable between a locked position where the deck lock is engaged with the lock striker, and an unlocked position where the deck lock is disengaged from the lock striker. When the deck lock is in the locked position and the secondary pedal pivots relative to the primary pedal, the engagement member can move the deck lock away from the lock striker and to the unlocked position.

  • Publication number: 20230172101
Abstract: A blade control assembly for a lawnmower can include a controller configured to selectively transition between a sleep mode and an operational mode. The controller can be configured to transition from the sleep mode to the operational mode when the controller receives a first ON signal. The controller can be configured to cause a power source to transition from an idle state in which a blade of the lawnmower is stopped to a driving state in which the power source rotationally drives the blade when the controller receives the first ON signal and a second ON signal. The controller can be configured to cause the power source to stop rotation of the blade and cause to power source to transition to the idle state after the second ON signal terminates, and can be configured to transition from the operational mode to the sleep mode after the second ON signal terminates.

  • Patent number: 11528841
Abstract: A control handle for a lawn mower includes a first lever and a second lever facing the first lever. Each lever is configured to actuate between an extended position and a depressed position. A controller is operatively associated with each of the first lever and the second lever so as to determine a position of the first lever with respect to the depressed position or the extended position of the first lever, and a position of the second lever with respect to the depressed position or the extended position of the second lever. Also, the first lever defines an interior having an opening facing the second lever such that the interior of the first lever is configured for receiving the second lever when at least one of the first lever and the second lever are actuated toward the respective depressed position.
