  • Publication number: 20220312092
Abstract: A loudspeaker cabinet design that increases dispersion and minimizes cabinet size by not only mounting mid and high frequency generators in the mouth of the port horn, but also placing diffractors and reflectors within the mouth of the port horn. Additionally grab handle cut-outs are placed at specific locations in the side walls to increase horizontal dispersion. The inventive device creates greater vertical and horizontal dispersion characteristics from a smaller than previously possible cabinet, aiding particularly those who require frequent transport of loudspeakers.

  • Publication number: 20090011871
Abstract: A gyroscope assembly is mounted within a sports instrument swing aid. A motor is connected to a rotor within the gyroscope assembly. A power source drives the motor to rotate the rotor. During a forward swing of the swing aid, an angular momentum of the rapidly spinning rotor tends to maintain the swing aid parallel to a plane of the swing. A reaction torque from the gyroscope assembly may be sensed by a player if a player's wrists are rotated in a release, and may also be sensed if a parallel relationship of the swing aid to a plane of the swing is not maintained. The swing aid may be in the form of a bat or racket.

  • Publication number: 20080125236
Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving the consistency and effectiveness of a golfer's swing. In a first aspect of the invention, a gyroscope is mounted in the head of a gold club has a rotor which is rotated by a small electric motor. A pair of dry cell batteries and a push type “on/off” switch In a grip of the golf club turn the motor on and off. The batteries are connected to the motor with a pair of wires which extend through a tubular golf club shaft. The rotational plane of the rotor is parallel to the face of the golf club head which strikes a golf ball. When the rotor is rotated, changes in the plane of rotation or spin axis of the rotor are resisted by the angular momentum of the rotor, thereby producing reaction torques which are sensed by a golfer. The reaction torques inform the golfer of the release of the club and changes in the path of travel. In a second aspect, the invention the gyroscope is mounted directly on an end of a golf club shaft.

  • Publication number: 20060180612
Abstract: A trigger actuator for a container includes a recess defined by one or more walls that protrude downwardly surrounding an actuating button of an overcap of the container, wherein the trigger actuator is attached to the actuating button. The trigger actuator further includes an aperture disposed in the recess above an outlet in the actuating button and a lever disposed on a side of the trigger actuator. Pressing the lever towards the container forces the walls defining the recess downward displacing the actuating button.

  • Publication number: 20050102767
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, devices and kits for dispensing laundry additive materials into the drum of an automatic washing machine as that machine is used to carry out a fabric laundering operation. To bring about such dispensing of additives, a lidded housing structure is placed within the drum of an automatic washing machine, an insert, containing one or more laundry additives in each compartment, is placed within the lidded housing structure, the lid is closed and the machine is run through the several stages of its laundering cycle. Selectively actuatable puncturing element are provided to optionally open at least one compartment of the insert upon closing of the housing structure lid, thereby dispensing the contents of that opened compartment into the washing machine drum as wash additive materials and/or to open one or more compartments of the insert later in the laundering cycle to dispense contents of those compartments into the washing machine drum as rinse additive materials.

  • Publication number: 20040217255
Abstract: A void former for positioning an anchor within a concrete structure is comprised of a hollow polymeric body having first and second sections hinged together for movement between a closed condition engageable around the anchor received therebetween and an open condition in which the sections are separated at the lower portions thereof to release the anchor received therebetween. The void former is monolithically formed by injection molding and includes integrally formed latch elements on the respective sections for mutual engagement to secure the sections in the closed condition and a bridge between the sections to provide a hinged connection therebetween. In the injection molding process the sections are formed so as to be positioned in the open condition. Upon removal from the injection mold, the sections are hinged relative to one another by bending the bridge therebetween, before the polymer is fully cured.

  • Patent number: 5158438
Abstract: An easily adjustable and serviceable plural component pumping system has a frame assembly with a pivotable drive beam. The drive beam passes through spherical rod bearings in the connecting rod of two positive displacement pumps. The pumps are mounted to the frame via hand tightenable clamps so that by loosening the clamp the pumps may be slid along the frame to vary the ratio or remove for servicing without the need for too.

  • Patent number: 4551288
Abstract: Process and apparatus for the production of medicament containing liposomes, comprising an aliphatic lipid-sterol-water lamellae, wherein a clear, mixed micellar medicament-detergent-aliphatic lipid-sterol sample is applied to a gel filtration column. The column effluent is continuously monitored to detect the liposome fraction eluted, which is collected. The free medicament, detergent, lipid and/or sterol may be recirculated back to the column.
