  • Patent number: 9648310
Abstract: Certain embodiments relate to systems and methods for presenting a stereoscopic, 3-dimensional image to a user. The system may comprise a mobile device having a camera and a pixel-selective mask overlaying a display. The system may perform facial and object recognition techniques to determine the location of the user's eyes. Subsequently, the system may adjust the mask so as to maintain an optimal stereoscopic effect for the user, regardless of the user's position.

  • Publication number: 20160169948
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring power in an electronic device is provided. A voltage is sensed across a sense resistor and the current is then calculated by dividing the sensed voltage by the value of the sense resistor. The method incorporates a buffer for storing the sensed voltage and calculated current. In addition, the buffer permits the measurements to be taken while the electronic device is in a sleep state. The measurements that may be taken include voltage, current, and power.

  • Publication number: 20120222903
Abstract: A scale includes a weighing panel supported by a platform, a measurement module in communication with the weighing panel, a user interface supported by the platform and having at least one display and a user input, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the user interface and the measurement module. The controller is configured to: (i) receive a signal from the measurement module to determine a weight of a user, (ii) command the display to show the weight, (iii) receive an activity selection from the user input, and (iv) command the display to show the activity and a corresponding activity calorie estimate based on the weight of the user.

  • Patent number: 7353330
Abstract: A method for reducing the number of cycles required for setting up content addressable memory contexts is disclosed. In particular, the method reduces the number of cycles required for setting up multiple contexts of burst operations, in which each context includes the same data key. Each context includes a special field that is set by the user, called a data reuse field. Setting the data reuse field to a first state indicates that the data from the corresponding context is to be used in the operation. Setting the data reuse field to a second state indicates that the data from the most recent operation is to be used instead. Hence the search data key can be written to a single context, avoiding consumption of cycles required for writing the same search data key to subsequent contexts of the burst operation.

  • Patent number: 7194574
Abstract: A plurality of entities are stored in a single addressable location in a Content Addressable Memory (CAM). A column in a CAM entry is selected for storing an entity based on the property of the entity to distribute the entities among the columns to maximize memory utilization. A match for a search key stored in one of the plurality of columns can be found in a single search operation.

  • Patent number: 6690793
Abstract: A circuit for eliminating switching noise from a mute switch connected between a microphone capable of receiving and transmitting audio signals to a communication system, comprising, a switch state detector connected to the mute switch for generating an on signal in the event that the mute switch is open and generating an off signal in the event that the mute switch is closed, a codec circuit connected to the mute switch in parallel with the switch state detector for delaying the audio signals received by the microphone, and a CPU connected to the codec circuit for receiving the on signal and in response muting the audio signals and for receiving the off signal and in response transmitting the audio signals to the communication system.

  • Publication number: 20040024960
Abstract: A multiple CAM chip architecture for a CAM memory system is disclosed. The CAM chips are arranged in a diamond cascade configuration such that the base unit includes an input CAM chip, two parallel CAM chip networks, and an output CAM chip. The input CAM chip receives a CAM search instruction and provides the search instruction and any match address simultaneously to both CAM chip networks for parallel processing of the search instruction. Each CAM chip network provides the highest priority match address between the match address of the input CAM chip and its own match address. The output CAM chip then determines and provides the highest priority match address between the match addresses of both CAM chip networks and its own match address. Each CAM chip network can include one CAM chip, or a plurality of CAM chips arranged in the base unit diamond cascade configuration.

  • Patent number: 5708498
Abstract: An optical method and apparatus is provided for determining the color and profile of a target surface of an object. The target surface is scanned with an incident beam of light containing a plurality of wavelengths including at least one well defined wavelength. A return beam reflected from the target is split into at a first and second return beam. The first return beam is utilized for detecting the profile of the target surface; and, a plurality of detectors are provided that detect color information corresponding to the target surface from the second return beam.

  • Patent number: 4300305
Abstract: A swingable frame or trap bar component is pivotally mounted by one end thereof to one end of a stationary frame which includes a pair of spaced and parallel side frames extending upwardly from a base. A heavy duty coil spring normally urges the trap bar component to be released or vertical position. A trigger plate pivoted to the base and is held in the set position by a trigger pivotally mounted on a cross bar between the side frames, said trigger overlying the distal end of the trap bar component when the same is placed in the set position parallel to the base and against pressure of the spring. The trigger engages under the trigger plate to hold the trap in the set position. A sloping cross piece on the trap bar component is engaged by the trigger which is slidable across the cross bar enabling a degree of sensitivity to be imported to the release of the trigger by depression of the trigger plate.
