  • Publication number: 20170100851
Abstract: A pin may be arranged in a hole located on an outer diameter surface of a cylinder of a rotary die cutting arrangement. The pin proximal end may be received in the hole and the pin distal end may project from an outer surface of the cylinder. The pin proximal end has a boss. The pin has a longitudinal slit extending from the proximal end toward the distal end. The slit has a width and length dimensioned to provide the proximal end with sufficient resiliency to allow the proximal end to be compressed to a position where the boss of the pin proximal end has a diameter less than the diameter of the hole to allow the boss to pass through the hole, and release to a position where the diameter of the boss is greater than the hole diameter to retain the pin in the hole.

  • Publication number: 20070257933
Abstract: There is provided a method of changing a theme for a user interface of a computer system comprising receiving an identification of an image with which to define a color palette of a theme for rendering elements of a user interface on a color display of the computer system; analysing the image to determine at least one predominant color; and defining the color palette in response to the analysis. The image may comprise a background image selected by a user for display by the computer system. Dynamic generation of the color palette matches the user interface to colors to provide flexible and appealing themes. A computer readable memory having recorded thereon instructions to carry out this method is also provided, as well as a device comprising such memory.

  • Publication number: 20070242656
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing IM conversations is provided. In response to idle time and, preferably, read message status, particular current conversations are removed from a list of current conversations. The removed conversations may be moved to an archive which may be automatically maintained in response to size constraints. An archive interface is facilitated to review conversations, save all or portions thereof, delete, etc. The archived conversations are preferably associated with the contact for the conversation to show a history of conversations.

  • Publication number: 20070238487
Abstract: A method for initiating telephone calls from a mobile device which operates in a wireless communication network, including: displaying text on a visual display of the mobile device; moving a position marker on the visual display throughout the displayed text in response to a navigational input by a user to the mobile device; monitoring for a predetermined user input to the mobile device and upon detecting the predetermined user input causing a list of user selectable functions to be displayed on the visual display; determining if the position marker is located within a non-hyperlinked number string in the displayed text when the predetermined user input is detected and if so, causing the displayed list of user selectable functions to include a telephone call function for initiating a telephone call to the non-hyperlinked number string; and causing, if a user selects from the list of functions the initiate a telephone call function, a telephone call to the non-hyperlinked number string to be initiated through

  • Publication number: 20060053386
Abstract: A system and method for selecting graphic objects to insert in a text message when composed on a wireless device, each of the graphic objects representing a set of individual alphanumeric characters. The system comprises an object table for display on a user interface of the device, such that the table is configured for including a first object of the graphic objects associated with a first predefined input and a second object of the graphic objects associated with a second predefined input. The first input is different from the second input. The system also has a first input event component for coupling to the user interface such that the first input event component is configured for mapping to the first predefined input. The system also has a second input event component for coupling to the user interface such that the second input event component is configured for mapping to the second predefined input, the first input event component being different from the second input event component.

  • Publication number: 20050266889
Abstract: In one illustrative example, a mobile station includes one or more processors, a wireless transceiver coupled to the one or more processors, and a user interface which includes a visual display and a plurality of keys. The wireless transceiver is operative to receive a message which includes a telephone number string. When the message is visually displayed in the visual display, a hyperlink for the telephone number string in the message is created. The hyperlink for the telephone number string is highlighted when selected by an end user during the visual displaying of the message. In response to a single depression of a SEND key while the hyperlink is selected, a telephone call to the telephone number string is initiated through the wireless communication network. Detection of the key is made immediately following the selection of the hyperlink without any intervening key depressions.
