  • Patent number: 5448804
Abstract: A clip member for securement of a trim member to a slot in the sheet of a vehicle. The clip member includes a base portion which includes a dovetail for attachment of the base portion to a trim member. The clip also includes a shaft portion which has an axis and is connected to the base member. The shaft member is adapted for allowing resilient rotational deflection about the axis of the shaft. A locking protrusion extends from the shaft portion and includes a locking shelf for engaging the sheet portion of the vehicle. The locking protrusion also includes a ramp portion which is operable for deflecting in response to engaging the slot and rotating the locking protrusion about the axis of the shaft during insertion of the protrusion into the slot.

  • Patent number: 4754552
Abstract: A horticultural pruning template system (10) is provided for aiding a user in pruning a horticultural object (12) to some predetermined contour. A template member (14) which is substantially transparent includes first indicia (18, 20, 22 or 24) formed thereon to provide a general outline contour for a design. Second indicia (28) which may be in the form of cross-hairs intersecting at a center point may be aligned with a predetermined point on object (12). The template (14) is releasably coupled to the horticultural object (12) through a string member (30) which is looped around and tied to the trunk (34) of horticultural object (12). The opposing end of the string (30) is tied through openings (38) formed in template (14) to template member (14). The user then may view horticultural object (12) at varying angles prior to trimming or cutting the horticultural object (12) into the predetermined contour.

  • Patent number: 4589229
Abstract: A door jamb assembly for varied installations in a conventional rough cut door opening disposed in a wall, the assembly including first, second, and third elongated members for mounting on the sides and top of the rough cut door opening to form a pair of door jambs and a header. Two of the elongated members are configured so that they will mate on one end thereof to the first elongated member and on the other end thereof to a portion of the other elongated member between the ends thereof, these two elongated members being essentially mirror images of each other. As a result, a door jamb assembly is provided which can be installed in various width door openings to provide jambs for doors which can be hung with left or right hinges and which open in or out. Additionally, the width of the jambs and header is variable to accommodate walls of different thicknesses.
